- Some find them frustrating, while others just can’t get enough - optical illusions is something that will always leave you perplexed and questioning your eyesight. We all know the classic young girl turning into an old lady portrait, or sets of geometric figures that turn out to be of a different size than it appeared. Optical illusions are images that differ from the objective reality. But how do they work?
Basically, it’s our minds trying to find the easiest way to look at things. At a first glance, we try to relate the image with the most basic and close interpretation of it, and only after a few seconds do we realize that separate details of the image don’t even make sense. This element of surprise is also what gets us in the so-called perfectly timed pictures: first we see one thing, but then it can be deconstructed into something else. About 90% of these Pictures are not really optical illusions, they are just well timed pictures.... There is a difference ;)

Nice, but more well placed and timed photos than real optical illusions.
Two things: 1) most of these aren't optical illusions, just well timed pictures. 2) why the obsession with clouds?

I figured every single line of these out except for about 3 that didn't trick me at all,like how were they even optical illusions?! Looked just like normal pics to me

But really, some of these are golden, especially the crane moon one and the wheelbarrow moon one. Perfect timing indeed! XD Just like with 5:54. Whoever did this is a mad mad genius!

Half of these are just well aligned clouds

5:37 and the one after it were the only TRUE optical illusions.
I think in 5:37, the Sun is behind clouds, and the ground in front of him is wet, so it looks like it's a shadow, making him appear floating.
