Brain Champion - Mobile Gaming on Nokia C2-01

- I discovered my old Nokia C2-01 handset - charged it up and had an evening of playing some of the games still on it. Surprisingly fun although sometimes hard to play through the camera viewfinder as I had to try to play by feel where the buttons are.
This is a quick off-screen video of Brain Champion (or Brain Champ) which is clearly inspired by the Dr Kawashima's Brain Training series that was so popular on the Nintendo DS. This is a quick look at the Daily Challenge mode and features 4 challenges. Apologies for the poor performance in the Maths challenges - I couldn't see the buttons due to the camera so was playing by feel and made a few mistakes
I try to keep the phone still and apologies that my thumb sometimes comes into shot.

J2ME games and keypad phones were my videogames back then.
Those were such nice little games for a simple mobile phone, if you didn't have a console with the main titles, you had those nice alternative gems instead.
2000s mobile phone gaming was definitely underrated.

Brick Breaker Revolution - Awesome game with a nice soundtrack as well.
Yes - a lot of hidden gems among the J2ME games. Some cracking original titles & some brilliant additions to well known series etc. Some utter dross too of course but that was always going to be the case!
The games that were designed for the format were often cracking games. I'll be uploading some more videos of J2ME games at some point soon :-)

Incredible game! I used to play it on my grandfather's old phone. This game indirectly taught me really well in making the right decision in life, logical thinking, seeing patterns, and many more. I wish I could still play it on mobile or PC

While it is not quite the same - If you have a smart phone running either iOS (i.e. an Apple phone) or Android (basically everyone else) then there is a free compilation of Gameloft games to mark their 20th anniversary which compiles 30 of their games. You can find it on the App Store or Google Store etc by searching Gameloft Classics.
It is free and includes a game called Brain Challenge 3 which is essentially very similar. I have a video on my channel.

It really is a good game. Has that just one more go vibe. Always good to play on original hardware too (this is why I keep my old phones & consoles)!

Its a really good Brain game. Much easier to play when you aren't doing so through the camera view finder and can't see the keys :-) It is a format that works really well on the old hand sets though. Cracking game all round!

In case You didnt know Brain Champion Nokia was Released in 2008 On Nokia 7510 supernova and Nokia 6120 Navigator on The Same Year Bounce Tales Was Also Released in 2008 as Well even Know Is The Same Game As the Brain Genius from glu And Brain Challenge From Gameloft

It is a classic game and really works well on the this format. Mobile gaming is the perfect platform for this sort of thing.

@abhisarmathur7199 - I'm not sure - I don't think so unfortunately. However Gameloft did a free Anniversary Collection of 30 of their games one of which was "Brain Challenge 3"
This is a free download & features 30 of their classic games reworked for touchscreen controls & compatible with Apple & Android devices so you should be able to find it on the Android Store if you search for either Gameloft or Gameloft Classics or Gameloft Anniversary or something.
I have videos of all the included games on my channel so be sure to check it out.

I don't think there is.
However Brain Challenge 3 is available for free on the Gameloft Classics along with lots of other games. Gameloft ported a bunch of their classic games to iOS and Android (just search the app store for gameloft classics or gameloft anniversary) to mark their 20 year anniversary.
They are updated with touch controls but there are tons of great games included - one of which is Brain Challenge 3 which is very similar to this. Try it - the whole thing is free so if you don't like it you can always delete it. You can check out each ofthe games on my channel as I've done a short gameplay video of each.

Unlikely I think however Brain Challenge 3 is on the Gameloft Classics 20 Year collection. This is FREE on iOS and Android (assume your phone runs Android?) which you can download from the Google Store I believe.
It's a great collection with 30 games including Brain Challenge 3 which is similar in style to this. There is a video on my channel if you want to check it out (or the other games in the collection).

Check out the GameLoft Classics on your A7 though as it's a lovely compilation of classic games, is free & means you'll have them with you to play when you feel like a blast from the past!
