we just finished or are finishing a gauntlet of a schedule...now it gets a bit easier...we are in first..i can really see this team taking off..how will that affect trades?
The strikeout narrative during the off season was exactly that, a narrative. It was really all about off loading the money that was going to be owed to Marco, Teo, Geno, and Evan White. Granted, no one thought Garver was going to be this bad, but this offseason was more about budget than actually building an offense.
Make the deals happen, Jerry!
My prior comments aside, go Ms! 🔱 It would be nice if Jerry and Justin were given the resources to build the team the way they want. And if all this penny pinching now is so they can extend Dumper, Logan, Kirby, Woo, and Miller later, I’m all for it
There are 7 teams that have allowed less runs than the Mariners, so that does not equal "best rotation in MLB". They're 6th in the AL in ERA.
Meanwhile, there's one team that has scored less runs than the Mariners. Worst offense in MLB outside of the White Sox isn't an exaggeration. Leading MLB in strikeouts after spending an entire offseason talking about reducing strikeouts..... DHs hit .180 in 2022, .207 in 2023; in 2024 they're hitting .206. Why do so many players come to the Mariners and hit like 100 points less than their career averages?
Good teams can win more than one way. When the Mariners pitching fails, they're screwed.
Julio all of a sudden can't hit home runs this season
Whats crazy is the pitchers the orioles and yankees have plus the offense. The central is loaded too. The Ms staff is good but its not so much better that it can carry the current offense.
@@imanujakku no pitching staff can carry an offense that is bottom 3 to a world series. If the offense doesn't pick up soon, they won't even make the playoffs.
Brace yourselves people! Here come comments from people who will bash Dipoto and Hollander no matter what!
Yeah, because they have accomplished so much in their time here for fans to not be upset…
@@GeorgeConner69420 Brace yourselves, the people who only care about the bobble heads and $18 beers have spoken, will defend Dipoto and Hollander no matter what! Only team to NEVER appear in a WS! 🤣
@@zackbleecker7630 True dat brother!!
Let's wait and see, will the Mariners actually spend money, or will they do the same old lackluster executive decisions?
They would have spent money in the off-season if the owner didn't buy root sports and that deal is looking terrible. The kraken are already leaving root sports and the blazers probably will too
If we could get the offense going we could run away with the division
Good to have a dream my friend. This
Offense ain’t going nowhere.
Please Justin for the love of God make sure whatever big bat you trade for make sure they take Garver as one of the guys going back! 🤮
I’m 10 seconds in…fun to watch? Scraping together a run or two a night and relying on the starters and Muni to be dominant is not fun. This offense is dreadfully boring and frustrating to watch.
Your catcher sux and is destroying your pitchers era's!
Demand him to put the TARGET/MIT UP EARLIER and take it down AFTER the pitchers RELEASE the ball!
It's NOT complicated!! He is confusing and destroying their FOCUS on hitting "his" spot!
All pitching/Cather's coaches should be relieved of their duties immediately for NOT making this clear!
Man, I don’t listen to this radio show, but she’s terrible. At the 5:40 mark she said, “I know you guys moved away from strikeouts this offseason…” Might want to check the numbers on that
The intention of the club was to lower their strikeout rate. Whether you think it’s true or just a way to shed payroll, that was a stated goal. I didn’t say it worked. They clearly haven’t - and if you listened to the show, you’d hear me say this many times 😊 thanks so much for watching, hope you have a wonderful day
@@stacyjorost4737 Poor choice of words on my part. I didn't like the phrasing of the question is more accurate. My apologies for judging you on a 15-min clip. That's not fair. That said, I think it's a fair question to ask Justin: What does he say to fans who believe this off-season was about shedding payroll more than addressing strikeouts? Cheers!
You need experienced veterans farm league will not make this team better
Julio Rodriguez has not had “7 to 10 days” where it didn’t go his way, it’s been 2 months. You overpaid Justin and there is no way out. Good luck turning him around 😮
He's put up almost 13 WAR in a little over two seasons, and he's only 23. You're giving up on the kid over a slow two months?
I get being frustrated with him, but this is genuinely the worst take I've ever heard. Close to two 30/30/30 seasons, ROY, 2X Silver Slugger... I bet you also complain that the owners don't spend money. But when they lock down a franchise player for potentially 13 seasons, suddenly they blew it.
