All these guys are right with the frame cracking. I do a gm dealership out here in northern Cali. The frames get hairline cracks along the top of the frame of the glass. We have to replace them under warranty all the time with new parts. Fyg makes them for gm now. We’ve been backfilling the top with Urethane after the new part is installed as well as others have posted .

GM Service Bulletin 18-NA-383 Water Found In Rear Interior Of Cab, Waterleak At Power Sliding Rear Window. Per GM you are to remove the roof spoiler and fill the top encapsulate using Kent High-Tech Seam Sealer. Also replacement of 8 10mm Nuts w/ washers is required any time the roof spoiler is removed. If the client returns with the leak a 2nd time then they authorize replacement of the rear window module (assembly). I’ve fixed more than I can count now.

The plastic frame on the back glass gets small cracks on the Silverado as well as the new RAM

I’ve seen a couple that the leak comes from that light on top of the back glass.

How hard is it to remove just the power sliding window if it leaks through there?

No need to r&I. Remove spoiler and reseal the frame. It's only a matter of time and they will recall. Problem is only with the slider. Done several at the gmc dealer we do work for here in ATL. Easy fix

We've done a few where it's the spoiler, and at other times it the back glass frame.

I took care of that water leak on my truck without replacing the whole window with just some Black Silicone Adhesive Sealant and now is leak free and no more problems with rear vision system, while I was working on it I also noticed other water leaks from some of the bolts holding the rear cab spoiler. here's the video of what I did. czcams.com/video/6ShNWsbWPm4/video.html
