Just a thing I noticed . When outsiders like Priyanka and Kangana speak in different accent they are mocked and insulted by industry people but when it comes to Sonam or others it's okay and even kind of great . Sad.

Coincidentally the jury chairman when she got awarded- Priyadarshan- is a close friend of Anil Kapoor and he was on a friendship spree giving away awards to his friends like Akshay Kumar,Mohanlal etc thar year.
Even when she does make a few valid points (like unrealistic beauty standards on magazines), it is really very difficult to watch her entire interview because of her weird, nasal accent. It hurts the ears after a point. That, and her delusion.
Kudos to Anupama Chopra for her immense patience.

1. It's so sad when journalist knowingly misrepresents facts - if sonam won national award, what did surabhi lakshmi win then? Aren't you all ashamed of lying through your teeth. Is it a shame to say she was given a special mention and not an award? 2. How does sonam known other actors have bought followers and why should anyone believe she hasn't bought her followers? How long will she live in denial? 3 how does she know she is the first Indian celebrity to be on Snapchat? Does she know of other India actors down south who were there before her? I just don't bloody understand the hate for Sonam Kapoor! Like she is just so gorgeous, well-spoken, smart and above all, humble! She went to take a Ghantaa award! Which actor was brave enough to ever do that! She also admits mistakes. On the actresses roundtable 2016 where she was invited for her role in Neerja, she admitted her mistake of pointing out and criticizing people on Karan's show..Which actor, a young one is brave and humble enough to do that..her acting may not be top class but she is definitely a good actor and above all a well-behaved and humble star, and that is what we should look forward to and admire to, rather than actors who misbehave in public(Salman) and bash interviewers and reporters for no reason. As an audience we should look up to actors like Sonam, Alia, SRK, etc.. and not Salman or Sushant..And infact, I was not a fan of her movies, but gradually,I became her fan because of her personality and humility, and after the release of Neerja, one should have no reason to hate or dislike her..

I like Sonam Kapoor, because she is so well read. She is a romantic at heart (a genuine quality of a person in the business of art) and I suppose that is the influence of literature on her personality. She is way intelligent than all of those who are questioning her. I know there is so much hate circulating in our society, but please don't make Sonam Kapoor as a scapegoat to vent your frustration. There are other reasons for the cause of your hatred. Try to identity and address those causes. Of course she is privileged because of her lineage, but that does not make targeting her as an ailment for our disease.

Sonam is one of the most intelligent and well-read actresses out there in Indian cinema, the only one I see talking head on, confidently and loudly about big issues in the subcontinent that sadly and shamefully the other top stars are scared to touch upon. Im not sure where this hatred towards her is coming from, but she is a very progressive, enlightened and open minded woman, an individual who encourages reading, working towards an environment free of pollution, traffic, eradicating stereotypes expected from young people, and to be yourself. Kudos! She speaks excellently and is a far better role model than any of the other A-listers i can think about.

I am not her fan but I don't know why people judge her so much? In one of her initial interviews of her career she expressed that her father didn't help her at all in her choices for the movies or got her work. When you don't judge her for where she comes from, she actually makes sense in a lot of things she says. At least she has an opinion.
