    The ceramic has that 80's rock/blue/crunch sound.

    Good comparison. They're quite different, but both have their unique sound and value. Thanks very much for making this video.

    People complaining about the overdrive hiding the differences are as deaf as a rock.
    Alnicos have more spank and clarity, while ceramics have more output and girth but lack the clarity and snap that the alnicos have.
    Great video dude,

    the difference for me is you cannot lower the pickup height of ceramic unlice alnico V because the magnet in ceramic pickup is too big it bumps on the guitar , if you have low action you can't lower the ceramic pickup all the way

      Did you use them in a squire? I haven't seen that in a full thickness body. Plenty deep. I even have a pickup plate under mine. Interesting.

  • @vitgarin2444
    @vitgarin2444 Před 3 lety +7

    Not a correct comparison. It is necessary to compare on clean sound or on the light overdrive. Such as in the video overload hides the whole difference. It would be better in the line than from the speakers. Heard very bad

      Both would do the job easily mate...just alter the EQ and amp settings, then play like these artists (good luck there...lol) and that is the key!!

  • @BobBob-dv2qh
    @BobBob-dv2qh Před 3 lety +3

    Hey bro firstly nice chops well done! Great playing and good sound!
    but here is just a thought...
    maybe lose the effects compression EQ and gain structure for a true comparison of tones that can be produced from of each guitar and pickups... also work the tone and volume knobs in each position.. show some dynamics... and response from pick attack...
    perhaps use an unbiased naked approach straight into a single channel tube amp rig to really give the listeners a helpful and good solid pickup review (eg old marshall or fender set on the verge of break up and show what the guitar and pickups actually do on their own)
    Again nice chops well played good sound ... but pickup review is lacking due to the signal manipulation of your rig...
    ALL of both of the guitars' MOJO is straight up lost in the signal chain.
    Cheers

    I just got these. How can you tell which pickup is for the neck? They both say bridge.

    • @modscientist9793
      @modscientist9793  Před rokem +1

      Really? Oh it's real easym just grab your multi meter set to ohms, take a reading of both..the highest reading is the bridge. But...I'd also check with seller..they may have sent 2 bridge pickups by mistake. Lastly, if I remember correctly all three measure pretty close together, so having two pickups that measure really close together is not a deal breaker since I can adjust the pickups to compensate..but they should measure in each other's neighborhood. Let me know.
