I grew the species Canna musaefolia in Florida and it was much taller and multiplied like running Bamboo. Nice dark cultivar you selected.
In Georgia, ours came under the fence from the neighbor's house LOL. They grow like crazy here!!

Very pretty plant. How long of a growing season do you need for it? I suspect too long for up here in z3, but I'd love it on the off chance it worked. I've often wished I could grow bananas for their leaves. Such a useful wrapper, or even plate.
I am sure you could get Cannas to grow for you, but you probably would have to start with roots, and you wouldn’t get as much growth as me. They do need some real heat to really grow and flower well, but from roots you should be able to get flowering plants in 6-8 weeks if you have hot summers.
They very small for mussifolia.
Do you think they may be something else? That’s what I received the seeds as.
