Did your teacher say to do that? Thats very wrong because you are not on a lunge line and if the horse starts being spicy or smthn then that’s going to be really bad if your teacher said that then that’s wrong
Im sure shes fine most people do this as myself its a trust exercise and with no stirrups if he does buck then she can easily slide of his back and not get hurt
yes our teacher told us to do it! our ponies aren’t too spicy but all ponies can be! It wasn’t for very long to it was just from 1 half of the arena to the other!

I do it all the time i canter my pony w no stirups no hands i also canter her bareback no hands.
