As a New Zealander, it's harder to enjoy them because they just sound normal
True as, the NZ fullas say something and then the people laugh and I am like "why, what's funny?". All well lol
Yeah, Nah, Yeah...
Honestly, I understand the Kiwis better than a lot of the Brits. LOL!
Kiwis just don't understand why everyone is in hysterics when they tell you they were out polishing their deck on the weekend
Them laughing at the first guy, I was like wtf he's not even funny lol
I died when the second guy just got up and walked before they'd decided if he could or not 🤣🤣
Same!
Yeah, it was like, “Who needs them? I know that was funny; I’m just gonna walk now.”
Sir Patrick said he could walk and he did so. No-one questions Captain Picard.
He got up and walked because they were flaffing around with their decision.
I'd hire him on that basis alone: someone who makes a solution, when everyone else is just staying in the problem.
@@scsutton1 Precisely.

I love how sweet Helena was to the guy telling the story, I wish more guests were that gracious
Yes indeed, most guests look at them with snobbish disdain.
I was hoping she would elaborate and say yay or nay, his story was true
It was so frustrating when she was trying to talk to him and they kept flipping the chair!
she's lovely
Too bad you can’t say the same for Olivia and that old woman at the end . How rude they were talking and interrupting the poor guy.
I really thought he said “bread”😂😂😂😂😂
Wait he didn’t say bread
@@anufab. You can
Me too
The paramedics also said he’s “neck”
It would have been more like Brid 😆
New Zealanders are probably some of the most adventurous care free people on earth so it's quite normal that they have the best stories to tell haha
High five to you 🖐 Met so many and they're also very friendly 👏👏
As an Aussie I love a good kiwi story
@@zingleraster9124 As a kiwi my stories are all over the place but I love to tell them.
We care lol

the dog poo story is really just brilliant.
I thought it was hilarious
lol best ever
"ROY you naughty boy!"
the way he describes the bag with poo swinging back and forth. LOL

When I was 10, my parents took me to a small farmer's sale. We were going to a small farmers sale and we took the Ute there. Dad was looking for some animals and things to take home to our farm. And so anyway, him and mum spotted this little dining room table, and I was just wandering around in my jandals, and you know, just checking out the stuff. Mum and dad spotted this table and chairs, that they thought that's gonna be perfect in the dining room. We put it on the back of the Ute, and we go home, and us boys are sitting (me and my two brothers) are sitting up on the back of the Ute, in the chairs, in the dining room chairs. Dad thinks it'd be a good idea "Oh I know what we'll do, do you boys want some ice-cream out the back?" ya know. So we're like "yeah absolutely, we'll have ice-cream". Next thing you know, we're all sitting there, licking our ice-creams, sitting on the back. Dad decides (seeing a bit of Formula 1) he'd like to take the corner probably a bit quicker than he should have. Me on my chair ... bang fall down on the road

About 10 years ago I was in the Waikato Hospital (in New Zealand) with a family member. The nurse that was attending to us was very busy with another patient. That patient had just cut off multiple fingers by picking up his lawnmower to cut his hedge. I wonder if this is the same story.
it's a small world, surely....!! BTW I am in Karapiro in the Waikato right now
Oh lord I hate to think it keeps happening over and over.
No. Paramedic said it was In the UK and it's unlikely there'd be two of them in hospital at the same time here. Think it's more likely to be universal stupidity.
@@nikiTricoteuse I'm not proud of the stupidity, being a New Zealander but his first line was "when I was a paramedic back in New Zealand".
@@nikiTricoteuse I can personally vouch for the existence of universal stupidity. Especially when combined with men and power tools.
'lovely,, *murmured* not paying any tax' I love Graham
Lol. Thanks. As a kiwi l understood everything the chair peeps were saying but couldn't understand what Graham was mumbling, despite listening twice.
For somebody who was born in NZ, thank you for this tribute compilation. NZ Red Chair stories aren't always enjoyable to watch, because I too, thought it was normal than the rest. However, somehow our stories get walk offs, only because they're told in a way only Kiwi's could understand them. It's weird and super mental, other countries think we sound like sheep, when we do not. We just have alot of Mixed Nationalities in our country.
It’s not the way they talk it’s actually that the stories are good. For example the paramedics one. If you see other Graham red chair compilations he always loves stories which are weird or have a dark funny theme to them.
Who says we sound like sheep? I. Will. Fight. Them. 🤣
@@nikiTricoteuse so will I but realistically I probably do sound like a sheep😂
I think Norton is too rude with the guests.
Am an Indian so can understand the shade thrown at other's accents.😅 However,I find Kiwi accent to be cute and posh.
You know you're in for a good red chair story when you hear a Kiwi accent and the words 'this one time I got really drunk'
It's part of our initiation at Kindy.
I was talking to my Kiwi friend once, and he told me he had to “pick up his beard”, I nod as if I thought this was a normal thing, and then about halfway through the conversation I exclaimed “Oh, bed! You went to pick up your bed!”
This made me chuckle... thanks 😁
But they usually say it like "bid".
Graham was so prompt with the lever when the guy said "she told me not to tell the story..". Any hint of causing embarassment to the guest, his guards are up. He's a great host!!
The lawn mower story and the dog story are the best ever.

Where the fear has gone there will be nothing.

Hope this quote helps, I highly recommend Dune, it's a great book.
I love how sweet Helena Is so sweet IRL that even after he had finished telling a story of her dancing around and singing naked she was trying to make it so he didn't get flipped... She played an amazing Bellatrix I think... and tbh I have only ever seen her in other roles where she has been an antagonist so it was kinda awesome to see he be such a genuinely nice person.
Try the new Netflix movie “Enola Holmes”. Helena plays Enola’s mother. Not the biggest role, but the movie itself (and Helena of course) is quite charming.
I feel like Helena genuinely did want to know more about the story and probably his mother.
@@dubbadekken probably they talk after that...
Roy, the German Shepard, what a naughty boy...🤣👏🤣
lol 2:41 I love how Graham's getting a vote from the couch whether Ryan should walk or not - and Ryan's off anyway
The lawnmower story is the kind of story you would expect from a stand-up comic. It's so brilliant.

@@sabrielysgimelindez1126 oh okay, thank you!
I once heard a linguist being interviewed on Radio New Zealand, talking about how kiwi accents have changed over time. She mentioned “Tin Man” saying she thought it was interesting the way he ramped up the accent and vocabulary when he realised how much people were enjoying it. Yes, a great red chair story 😀

The German shepherd poo story is one of the best red chair stories I’ve ever heard! 💩😹

When I was Tin. LOL, love it!
I'm a New Zealander and it's so confusing hearing everyone laugh, because they just sound like they're talking normally and I'm sitting here like "Wait what? what's so funny?"
To be fair, I'm Canadian and I also don't really understand why it's so funny. It's just an accent. I don't think it really warranted that much of a reaction. lol
@@arifraise791 To me it was his demeanour that was funny.
It's because Putney is in London, and he obviously is not.

The only thing I noticed was the first guy sounded like he said when I was tin instead of ten.
He’s just a cute Kiwi! He’s merely adding the sixth English accent represented onstage...😁❤️
