Good preview to your show!
While the surfing community in California is very laid back realm, a move from NYC to the coast of California is not a large "cultural" move. Remember, you are still in the USA. I like the lifestyle on the coast of California vs. NYC far better, but IMHO until one moves outside the USA to a new country like Ecuador, Chile, Japan, the culture remains the same, but only your 'lifestyle' changes. Good luck in California!
