For some reason, I've automatically assumed that slower TFK songs correspond with worship and God. I'm definitely not saying this is a bad thing, because TFK always busts out some of the most beautiful worship songs. However, for those don't use songs like these for worship, I found it really mindblowing to associate this with something more human, like a relationship with a best friend or loved one, just like the comments below me have been doing. I listened to this song during a very weak time one day after beating myself up over my parents yelling at me for many reasons about my college and my future... I truly felt that God guided me to this song because I suddenly burst into tears upon hearing it... I feel a message is there but I can't put my finger on it....
Listening to this song brings my boyfriend to mind. He’s been there for my lowest lows even though we were long distance. He recently moved to my area so now we’ll be having much more of a “all I need to know” vibe

I am a Christian but this is what I love about TFK, Skillet, and Red. They're definitely Christian bands and Christians can hear the references to it but they're vague enough that it can be interpreted differently based on my mood or people who aren't Christian aren't pushed away.

Hi, my comment is not about you and what matters to you, so it is okay if it doesn't matter to you. For me, as I stated in my initial comment, it's a Christian worship song, so when I am singing to/worshiping God, it matters that the song is Christian. This song is a band singing specifically to God, the lyrics are to God, hence Christian worship music.

For some reason, I've automatically assumed that slower TFK songs correspond with worship and God. I'm definitely not saying this is a bad thing, because TFK always busts out some of the most beautiful worship songs. However, for those don't use songs like these for worship, I found it really mindblowing to associate this with something more human, like a relationship with a best friend or loved one, just like the comments below me have been doing. This just showed me how awesomely TFK songs can be open to interpretation, and I'm pretty sure they wouldn't mind if someone listening wasn't applying this to his/her relationship with God. This could be about anything/anyone you want. I wonder why I've never had the thought of doing that before. I don't know why, but that just makes TFK songs like these more beautiful to me. :')

Now people should also stop bashing Christianity aswell(Or any other religion) and be respectful of their beliefs, In a song originally written for God, You can expect his name to pop up in comment sections, As would any other song about someone or thing. Personally I'm a believer, But I sing this, thinking of who I love most in my life, Sure I know that's not the what it was originally meant for, But I find happiness in doing so.
