Just bought one and was watching other videos on it afterwards and came across yours and it made me feel so good about the purchase as I wanna use it for personal use of home pictures and videos as well as film for music videos and you tube tv shows.
I still use the Sony A73 today and it still work like a charm. This is one of the channel that inspired me to film. Thank you.

@@talkofmiami03 I have the samyang 24mm 2.8 which is a very very very good wide angle lens. Then the sigma 18-35 1.8 you absolutely cannot go wrong

Short answer: Yes.
This camera is a beast of a camera. I’ve had it for a year now and I don’t feel the need in an upgrade. Instead of spending money to buy a new body I’ll get the best lenses and I’ll be set for AT LEAST 6 more years. The only reason why I would get a future a7x camera is to have a second body. But yeah, still definitely worthy in 2021!

@henbu I've had trouble with overheating when shooting 4k during long interviews in the Florida sun. Pretty extreme conditions. The camera gives a warning and will shut down. The files were saved. Also had the mic input break. It was fixed by local camera repair, and I've been more careful with mics. Still love my A7III. Thanks for the great work.
I literally sold my pocket4k for sony a7iii and i honestly f'n love it . The image is just so pleasing and the autofocus is amazing and makes it all worth it. Its a great run and gun camera .
I bought my A7iii used for $1800 CAD (about $1400 USD) and as an upgrade from my old canon. Love the pictures and the video quality is brilliant. The only thing I initially hated was the menu system (especially compared to canon). The lens choice is also stellar.

For anyone who experiences issues with the audio jack, this usually is because of the metal camera strap clip that hangs right above the audio jack itself. This is an issue because if your microphone jack accidentally touches the metal clip while it's plugged in, it can cause the whole audio system to short circuit. It's happened to me a number of times and I've had to send it in to get it repaired. To avoid this, you can either remove the metal clip and sacrifice your option to use a camera strap, or you can cover the metal parts with plastic dip or electrical tape so that you don't run the risk of accidentally short circuiting your audio. Other than that, the sony a7iii is a GREAT entry level camera and I highly recommend it for beginner filmmakers like myself :)

3 years strong with my A7iii.... my camera has never failed me once. one of the best cameras ever made for the masses
As a wedding videographer, I love my A7iii and will use it for a long time. It only overheated on me one time shooting a wedding ceremony at 4K 24fps on a hot/humid day in August, but that was it. Other than that, it has been my favorite camera to date.

An cheaper alternative for the recommended microphone is the Sony GZ1M Gunzoom Microphone. It’s about 70 $ and goes directly into the hotshoe too. Used it for the last 4 years and it never let me down once.

Great video dude! I make videos with the A7III and I was wondering how much it costs to get your mic jack repaired? Also how long does it take to get your camera back when you send it in for this?
It's the only camera come replacement time I've replaced with the exact same camera! Of course I would have rather gone for the a7siii but with everything that's going on I decided I would go with a fresh a7iii (hdmi output issues).

I guess that you can buy the second if you got the bucks and you already own a computer that can handle its files. 2020 pandemic wiped out my previous job as a singer so I started a photography business which I'm looking forward to nurture in 2021. A73 is still the best hybrid camera and there is a reason why literally every content creator / youtuber got it. Also people seem to forget that a body doesn't get any worse just because newer and better models are released. The A73 will be an outstanding body for years to come. A7S3 is better for video but for hybrid the a73 is performance / price / feature winner. Using it for 2 years without a single issue. I'll get the successor of it for sure once it's released since the a7s3 is too much focussed on video and I prefer a hybrid solution.

what about shutter fail? i've seen many complain about it on facebook page. and a7iii vs a7c which one do you prfer?
@@reswaratravel1040 Personally I don't have any issue with the shutter but there are always Monday products :) Between a7iii and a7c I would still go for the a73 since I prefer the body form and a7c is too small. But there are some great comparison videos between those 2 bodies. The lenses you mount on the body will influence your results so much more than the body anyway.
My perfect camera would be an a7 III with 10Bit 4:2:2 video

I have my A7iii, my go pro 7,8 &9 and my Mavic pro platinum.
But I've never used them for anything more than the odd clip here & there, or a bit of fun.
So I would very much like to get my lazy ass into gear and actually film, edit, colour grade and soundscape an actual project from start to finish..........then who knows where it could lead.

Hey man, I came across this camera on amazon and was wondering what are the pros vs cons on a based level and thought to myself let me just look at the youtube reviews, it's the best way to actually get some current and accurate feedback! In any case I think I'm going to pull the trigger on this camera and get the Sony *SEL50F18F E Mount Full Frame 50 mm F1.8 Prime Lens* along with it since I'm starting my very own CZcams channel based on Fitness, wellbeing and self improvement! as someone who upgraded to this monster i can tell you right away to whoever is thinking about it, just go for it! Now if this will be your first camera i would not recommend it since it is very expensive and buying it and then not finding yourself in this business will for sure hurt your wallet. BUT if you had any other camera and thinking about upgrade then for sure even this and next 3+ years this camera will dominate. 2nd choice for me was gh5

Very nice review! Bought a used A7 III for US$1200 last week and so far its been my go to camera! I only wish it had the weather-sealing of with my 10yr old Pentax K5 which I wash under the sink after a day of shooting in the UAE desert or if the buttons become sticky! Come on Sony - you can do better!

Bought mine from an older guy that had a ton of photography/videography gear but mostly used canon so he told me he used the a7iii just a handful of times... super low shutter... he let it go for $1,200 with the kit lens! And he also sold me a ronin s used once for $300! Got super lucky on that deal.
I snagged an A7iii for about $1200 also, great deal when the A6400 goes for about $1199 new. No better camera at that price.

I want to get into content creation this summer and looking to take advantage of deals around the 4th of July. I am a beginner so I prefer a camera that can shoot photo and video. Is it in my best interest to spend more money and invest into the 7s iii? Or is this a better fit for someone starting out while still getting crazy good quality?

I love my A7iii. I have it since day one! Now waiting for the A7iiii. My plan is to keep the A7iii for photography and whenever the new a7iiii is out, it’ll be use for videos, I’m sure it’ll be pack with some good video features.
If u want video you should buy the A7s iii. Most likely that the A7 IV needs several years to be released and might not even outperform the a7s iii in terms of video.
