Americans chose Bernie! It was the DNC who interfered on both occasions and chose Clinton and Biden against the very clear majority within the Democratic party. Trump won in 2016, in part, because large numbers of disillusioned Bernie supporters were so angry that they took temporary leave of their senses and voted for Trump as some form of self-destructive protest. It's difficult to be too harsh on them though. Bernie represented the real change that this country so desperately needed and perhaps the last chance before we hit a point of no return. However, there was never a real chance as the DNC would never have selected an Independent running as a Democrat. Especially considering the fact that he openly declared his intention to take an aggressive stance against the existing corruption within the Democratic party. Don't forget that the primary elections are private elections. The Democrats and Republicans can technically choose whoever they want, regardless of the vote tallies.

I, as a middle-aged white female American with English ancestral roots (demographics matter to prove I have no biased agenda), completely agree with you. This is a humanitarian issue, not a political issue. We MUST stand up for the innocent here. But due to corruption, and power-hungry greed, hundreds of thousands of innocent people are suffering and dieing. That my country is helping fund this??? The guilt and worry tears me up. It's difficult to be too harsh on them though. Bernie represented the real change that this country so desperately needed and perhaps the last chance before we hit a point of no return. However, there was never a real chance as the DNC would never have selected an Independent running as a Democrat. Especially considering the fact that he openly declared his intention to take an aggressive stance against the existing corruption within the Democratic party. Don't forget that the primary elections are private elections. The Democrats and Republicans can technically choose whoever they want, regardless of the vote tallies.

I, as a middle-aged white female American with English ancestral roots (demographics matter to prove I have no biased agenda), completely agree with you. This is a humanitarian issue, not a political issue. We MUST stand up for the innocent here. But due to corruption, and power-hungry greed, hundreds of thousands of innocent people are suffering and dieing. That my country is helping fund this??? The guilt and worry tears me up. I feel helpless because it takes large numbers to create change...but most around me cannot be bothered to stop scrolling Facebook or TicToc. I can't seem to find anyone around me that cares.
