  • If you have a dried citrus tree you can often still safe it. If there is still a (partly) green stem this is how to get it back on its feet. These are lemon trees.

Hey I found a ponderosa lemon tree and all the leaves were dead so I cut it back to 4ft trunk only do you think it will recover and grow healthy? Also do I leave it in the sun or shade?

Hej ! Hydrate stem, and roots and slowly (couple of weeks) bring from half shade spot into sunny spot. Keep root very moist.

Hi, I am from the Philippines. I have a citrus tree which leaves are wilting. I have neglected on watering it for more than a week. It still has its leaves, but the leaves are wilting. I have repotted it into a new pot and it still as good and healthy roots and the branches are still green, so I think it is probably overwatering. Do I need to remove and defoliate the leaves? Your help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much in advance.

I have a 6' lemon tree I've been growing from a seed for years that I bring indoors over the PA winter. I missed watering for a week and all the leaves curled and are brittle... most likely I killed'er.
I've been watering more attentively hoping to see some sign of repair. Nothing yet but the leaves are not dropping off, I hope providing some respiration function

I guess it would be ok. If you have watered it, keep doing this. Keep it soaked for couple of hours (when in container) and spray leaves and stem with water. But do not let it drown. Keep out of sun for a while. Once you see new leaves appear you can transplant if needed

Why is it necessary to replant it vs just ensuring the roots have correct water in the existing soil.

Yes, it worked. But due to my mother passing away I stopped taking care of them and they died anyways after recovery....
