This was based on a true story..Pac read about in the paper and disnt think it got enough press coverage so against the wishes of his record label he released it as the FIRST single on his album..
@Lord Frieza Christ bullshit
@Lord Frieza Christ nope.
Bears, Beats ,BET AWARDS PAC actually knew Brenda when she was a toddler found out she was murdered & wrote a rap about her story đŻđđŸ
@@danyelleiman2248 Thank You... She might even be his cousin... JS
He read the story in the paper ... It was front page news then it just got smaller and smaller so he said everyone should know her story
2pac is almost the only male that shows the female perspective
Him and J.Cole â„ïž
Kendrick has a couple I believe
Johnny Appleseed Keishas pain!!!
tim bm Wretch 32 - His and Hers Perspectives
Yes back in the 90s he was the truth
John really teared up! I respect that
Dayum, i thought i was the only one who noticed JD teary eye xD
That's the effect tupac has on people, he was real, he how to tug at the listener's heart with his music. I never knew a rapper who could hit me so hard in the feelings like he did.
I coulda sworn they did that like a long long long time ago
@@devinwalters8769 Em
Em is a great rapper, definitely one the best hands down. đđđ
The song was released in 1991... so he was about 19/20 when he wrote it.
*Lil Half Dead* Allegedly claim he wrote it.....đ€
Amazing
Thats just crazy! Cant believe people listen to mumble rap instead of this
He wrote it while working on Juice, Omar Epps tells that as experience when Pac kicked the lyrics to him acapella, upon seeing on newspaper the real story of Brenda which struck Pac
@@kingnaldo4058 youâre a MORON!!
Tupac is the greatest rapper of all time in our lifetime. Period. Eminem is incredible. But PAC touches everything in life.
Facts
đŻ
jeff thomas not the greatest in my lifetime but a GOAT nonetheless
Em is not even in my top 5
Eminem is the greatest lyricist. But 2Pac is the best rapper ever.
That's the one thing people fail to realize about 2pac he had a crazy amount of knowledge at such a young age
@Lord Frieza Christ he didn't though
@Lord Frieza Christ You seem like a bit of a cretin, desperate to spread your negative bullshit throughout this comment section it seems
@Lord Frieza Christ He was never in a gang dumbass
True
He was very wise in some aspects of his life definitely
Tupac Me against the World. His 3rd verse is top 5 all time in hip hop
Thank you!! Greatest verse ever!
My favorite verse ever.
đ„đ„đ„
Indeed!!
Arguably his best verse he ever put on wax.
RIP Pac. I was 16 in 96' when he passed and I remember riding in the car with the homies when we heard he got killed. We all cried like we really knew him.
Damn. He was really really loved by everyone
"i guess she thought she'd get away wouldnt hear the cries she didnt realise how much the little baby had her eyes"
i remember how powerful this was the first time i heard it. great reaction guys
Your reactions are the best of youtube! This is why I get mad at new generation sayin 2pac is overrated...
He touches people on a level mumble rappers cant
Yea Lil Xan is obviously better than 2pac right?
i haven't anyone say tupac is overrated
@@wizardninja2081 Lil Xan did. Hell one of the balls said Nas was overrated and wasn't hip hop he said the Migos were hip hop not Nas.

Tupac is the father of modern day conscious rap. The biggest influence to great artists such as Kendrick Lamar
And J Cole was heavily influenced by pac as well.
KRS-ONE and Rakim are the fathers
@@danielmoses3751 no they the grandfathers.
@@lukethomeret-duran5273 wrong! Grand Master Flash and The Furious Five are the "grandfather's." Or GodFather's either way they did it FIRST! We gotta get better at knowing our history. â

Pac always had serious social issues on his albums everyone just thinks Gangsta Rap when they think of him and they don't dig into his catalog to find songs like this.
#Facts
They labeled Pac a "Gangsta".....so you WOULDN'T dig into his catalog!!!

Keep ur head gotta b on the list
Life goes on, Krazy, basically fucking every Tupac song lol

This song brings tears to my eyes every time đ
"She played mr shakur, that's her favourite rapper bumpin BRENDAS GOT A BABY while a pervert yellin at her"
- Kendrick on Keisha's song (just so you can understand the parallel between the two songs)
Song is inspired by a true story. Y'all should see what made him write this song
this song alone makes tupac the goat
Tupac was filming in New York and read about her in the paper and wrote this song it's based on a true story.
I teared up when John teared up Tupac will have you doing that
Growing up in the 90s was so different.. there was just a giant variety of music and music influenced everyone
Y'all should do Tupac Keep Your Head Up. Its one of his most popular songs.
I'm 29 and I listen to everything I just played Tool back to back, but not long ago I was listening to Pac for a minute, always loved Pac, but I was going through some downs and Better Dayz came on and it just broke me down. That's was his power. You felt what he said. Keep Your head Up is a must as well.
Tupac - Starin Through My Rearview, Life Goes On and Thugz Mansion.
This song hit so hard, I was young and had never heard a story like this in a song.
I like how you said Pac wasn't being "Overly Poetic"..That was his charm. He had sort of a simple humaneness in his music. It was direct & practical. The power of his voice made it unique.More of a song writer than a "rappity rap rapper".Most hip hop MC's love to get drunk on words. They'll take something simple, make it seem more complex with superficial wordplay(lacking substance. For the juvenile mind IMO), and fool people into thinking they're "deep".Pac was the exact opposite of that.He could take complex issues and break them down to a simple truth with clarity & understanding.Which is why his ability to connect with people was so high.At the same time, a lot of hip hop "purist" hold it against him.Hip hop is a very strange genre at times. The only genre that loves to shit on their legends.IMO, Tupac was a big fish(Classic song writer) in a small pond(hip hop).No other rapper legitimizes hip hop as an art form more than he does, yet a lot of hip hop purist(mostly in the eastern part of the USA) hate him for it.They say "well he only become popular because he died!" failing to realize the man was just that clever. He had that type of foresight. He purposely created his catalog to be more popular post- death. It was like a prophecy. You can hear it all throughout his catalog. That's crazy vision. The average hip hop listener can't even comprehend Tupac. They'd rather their ears be bedazzled by "lyrical miracle" rappity rap rappers.
You just nailed it bruh đ„
On point!
U said it all
Tupac - Me Against The World
Love this song great choice!!
I love an artist that's never bigger than their message. I believe there's more empathy and maturity in letting the story /message be what's great. That to me is what Tupac did it was effective.
A song in the same vein: Outkast - Toilet Tisha. A very emotional song that most likely was inspired by Brenda's got a baby
One of the best rap songs ever written to think 2pac was 20 years old 2 years younger then me when he wrote this is absolutley astounding and shows why he was one of the best lyricists in music period the way he painted a picture with his lyrics this was his first single if i remember correctly
Yo Tupac saga would be awesome. From "2pacalypse now" to "R u still down?"
This song and video is so captivating. He has a way of having us hang on his every word and feel so drawn in.
While most rappers tend to be aspirational and preachy about their message, Tupac was always about the facts no more no less. He just says "these are the facts" and that's deep.
Been watching you guys for a few months now and have been a big fan of how you've invested time into other genres! This is one of my favourite songs of all time. Keep up the great work!
remember how in the song Sing About Me when Kendrick says "I heard your song on Section 80 (Keishas song), the message resembled Brendas Got a Baby."
Great and honest reaction! Thanks for keeping this legendary icon alive! Thinking of what he could've been blows my mind every time...Great great great human being!
pac was 20 here... really young
Been waiting for you guys to do this video. I need more 2pac/Makaveli
THANK YOU FOR DOING THIS. This is one of the most historically significant hip hop songs ever.

This made me cry, how sad and only 12 years old. But this is real life, as sad as it is.
True when this came out if scared the cramp out of me. Remember this was during the crack era.
When I was 6 my favourite days were when my brother would drive me to school and weâd listen to his 2pac cassette in the car. Even at such a young age this song always hit me differently
Been here since 20k subscribers. Been wanting you guys to do Tupac - Dear Mama. Commented it many times. And bring tissues! Lol

For sure some bone thugs first of the mouth is my favourite
God such a good song. I use to hate the Eazy E part but it grew on me now in my 20s when I listen back
Hell yeah
LetsGoToMarsMan same here. Eazy showed us that these cats were on a whole different level. I think thatâs why his verse is in the middle of the whole song, just to show people how different they were/are.

To me this will always be the starting point of rap as we know it. I think if this song doesn't exist, then rap just wouldn't have become what it became.

Every song he put out was a gem, They should React to ' Trapped '.
Krazy, white manâs world, unborn child
Tupac said he had written the song after reading a newspaper story about a twelve-year-old girl who became impregnated by her cousin and threw her newborn baby in an trash compactor. Asked by his lawyer whether he considered the song a political statement, Tupac said, âYesâŠ.When this song came out, no male rappers at all anywhere were talking about problems that females were having, number one. Number two, it talked about child molestation, it talked about families taking advantages of families, it talked about the effects of poverty, it talked about how one personâs problems can affect a whole community of people. It talked about how the innocent are the ones that get hurt. It talked about drugs, the abuse of drugs, broken familiesâŠhow she couldnât leave the baby, you know, the bond that a mother has with her baby and howâŠwomen need to be able to make a choice.â
Talking about political statements; they wrote "Bush sucks" on a cardboard box in the dumpster scene.
2pac - dear mama
React Gang in the Building! Remember dont just request your fav songs but discuss the video these boys work hard!
Pac definitely hit the hood with this cuz there were alot of young single moms at this time. Its songs like this that showcase his versatility.

Dope. 2pac is the goat
Tupac Keep ya head up
Tupac was probably the only rapper to talk about the issues females face. He was one of a kind.
This is based on a true story which is why you feel it!!! Pac was and is the only rapper with the exception of a few real dudes that deserves any kind of respect outside of the music industry! He died young but gave so much! RIP pac and much love for yâall doing this vid!!

Such a good song RIP tupac the poet đ
