  • We have to take it all back apart and put it all back together again! Its okay!! We got this! Rebuilding our 80 hp Lehman 4 stroke Diesel Motor! This is a Ford motor that's been marinized. Sounds kind of cool! We are so thankful for all the help and everyone who is guiding us! Zsolt is AWESOME! This week we are especially thankful that Papaw is watching our episodes and catching us in our mistakes quick enough that we can correct them! So blessed!

Hey, Keep showing the engine build. Even if you have to show it twice.
Someone will learn from your mistakes and it takes alot to actually show your mistakes.
Alot of channels leave the mistakes out to make it look like a perfect world. When we all know it isn't.
I enjoy your videos and also your wife and boys getting in there and doing work is awesome.

Thank you! I agree with you wholeheartedly and I appreciate you very much. We truly wish it all went as planned and we had the whole motor done and ready to go in just two or three weeks but that’s just not how it is. Living and learning! Thank you again for the kind words and encouragement!

The big end.....the part of the rod that connects to the crankshaft :)
I'm enjoying your videos from Sweden. Keep up the good work.

There is plenty of other ppl that are interested in engine build, for those who had enough of it. Just wait until a video of your likning comes up, don't try to deside what we other want to watch on this channel. Over 700 subs, don't let a couple of subscribers push you into what they want to watch, stay on your course and make videos of everything you like to show on your channel. I do agree on shorten the intro, should't be longer then 10 sec. when you binge watch episodes that long intro is killing it.

Thank you for the encouragement! And, thank you for joining us! Our original intro was one minute. We dropped it down to about 30 sec now and we are working on a brand new one that should be finished up soon and will reduce that time some more. Again, thank you for the encouragement.

We keep telling each other not to let the negativity get to us but that one about getting short with the wife really caught me off guard. Of course…..now she keeps teasing me about telling her fans on me. 😆 We really are learning tons and this whole thing is 100% a team effort. Thanks for the kind words and encouragement!

The part you were wondering about there not being a gasket, there are products called flange sealants that are for machined surfaces like Hylomar Universal Jointing Compound (#61311) or possibly Loctite 515 or 518. Some of them might require a primer so best check with some sort of expert.. Most of those products are non hardening/non-setting and go on very thin.

Agreed. We don’t need to see the engine work again. Also, please don’t get short with your sweet wife, we hear it in your voice, and there’s no way she doesn’t feel it when you do. I know it’s hard when you’re under stress, but that’s when you need to watch it most. Not criticizing, just giving you the benefit of 50 years of marital experience! Besides, when Mama ain’t happy, ain’t nobody happy! Good luck.

Not sure when or how I got short with her but I will be sure to try harder not to. Seems like she would have thumped me if I had. Thank you for sharing the wisdom!

Something I have to always try to remember is keeping it fun the rest of the family so everybody wants to keep it goin and sometimes that's the hard part but amen on the if mama ain't happy part!

Please get back to the boat refurb? Plenty of channels out there with engine rebuilds. Also, cut down your starting intro please?

Heading back to the actually boat as soon as we can. This isn’t our favorite portion of the project either but it’s got to be done.
