It's good to see people care about Indian football all of a sudden, just because the World cup season has begun now. I think state level tournaments and club level tournaments are happening already and we are just not aware of them. Let's not forget that a few months back our Indian Captain Sunil Chettri made a video requesting Indian fans to please simply come and watch them play. That's enough. This is the sad situation of Indian football players these days. I'm sure, after the worldcup season we will again go back to cricket and fight among ourselves about who is the best captain Dhoni or Kohli or Rohit. I think nevertheless they win or lose. As an Indian, we should support our teams, respect their sport and stand by their failures. When fans start to watch, sports committees will start to watch too & they will bring changes accordingly.

As a football fan im feeling really sad about India in sports. Especially olympic and football. We are calling us a growing super power, but we are nothing when it comes to sports. From my view cricket will never become the global sport because it doesn't have that flavour. But still most of our people are considering cricket as a big sport BCCI's marketing plays big role here, still they are projecting Pakistan as our competition and running the business. He need to change our mindset that Pakistan is not at all a competitor for us. We are in G20, Brics we have to competitive with these countries. In the club system most of the sports persons can survive, football is not popular here still we have 12 clubs in ISL and clubs in I league and grassroot clubs are coming. U can't expect this in cricket. Ioc inducted crickete and baseball in 2028 olympics, most of the countries will choose baseball instead of cricket. Cricket is not purely dependent on players talent, match is decided by pitch, weather condition. Avan ooru ku yentha madhiri avan avan pitch set panni jei chi ku ran. Football need high stamina and techniques, only Europe and South America are having that much technologies. Messi, Ronaldo, Neymar like players are started thier career from before 10 age. Asian countries are not good in football, not only India. No Asian countries ever reached final four or finals of fifa world cup. And only Asian player in top tier Europe football is Son from Korea.
In India Cricket, Hockey and Badminton is more famous than other games. If India needs to develop in football they need to train players from age 5-6. Also India should have big leagues that allows players to play atleast 10 months of football.
