Great selection! Aretha does it for me every time. I liked Dionne & Anita here too.

What’s your favorite Aretha album, and Dionne too? I’ve been getting more into Dionne.

Classic: "anyone who had a heart" and "Here I am"
      I mean... Clssics
Underrated: "Track of the cat" and "Friends in love" and "
Because that philly soul sound, and her Can't Hide Love!!!!
Worth the hype: "Heartbreaker" "Dionne" and "Presenting Dionne Warwick"
      No explanations needed
Kinda different: "Soulful" and "Aquarela De Brasil"
Different because she literally didn't get the support doing the soulful album which led to her being freer creatively, she did Aretha a comeback with a fantastic version of do right woman.
      EXCEPTIONAL "HOT LIVE AND OTHERWISE"
Because hits medley hits for sure. Plus its Dionne Warwick serving a whole buffet of live vocals for the girls to dine upon.
      Worth the listen: "She's back"
Hidden gem: "A man and a woman" with Isaac Hayes

@@EjayThomas I like a lot of her 60s stuff like this girls in love with you, you’ll never get to heaven, walk on by, anyone who had a heart. I’d like to know if you have any recommendations of ballad records, or just ones she’s really sanging on, from when she was young. I know in the 80s she had no night so long and never love this way again, but I wanted to know if she had any of that sort of music from when she was in her 20s. Thank you for the recommendations!

@@clamclam3 I guess you could hear her sing power ballads with "you're gonna hear from me" "People" "unchained Melody" "Somewhere " of course "A house is not a home" she started those huge resonant belts in the 70s notably on her live performances with "I didn't mean to love you" and "Feelings" with Isaac Hayes, thats all i could muster for now lol

    Yes!
    You put in the work!
(And I echo Arethas greatness, even though this wasn't about that 😊)

Are these notes? What do these words mean?

Where the lettering is red highlights the distance between the two notes, known as an interval. I also have a theory with the divas video if you’d like to check that out, it explains more thoroughly
