I’m happy with the updated version of the bag. When I first thought about getting this bag I didn’t like the original design on how to adjust the strap. If you wear it as a belt bag I would think the elastic would be more comfortable. I haven’t used my bag yet but just based on how it looks I totally love all the changes and I will probably pick up the larger one at some point and maybe another 1L in the pink 💗 thanks for the comparison
Thanks for sharing. I was worried the new version was made cheaper than original. Appears the hardware is lighter/cheaper as the the tag on the inside is metal and not a stamp on/glued on. That’s a bummer the original is sold out and is supposedly being phased out. Disappointed in Lulu trying to cut corners and save money. Also, the extra inch or two seems like it will be annoying.

Thanks for the comparison! I have the new version since the old one was out of stock on the site when I bought it. I prefer the zipper pulls on the new version because they just look nicer to me. I also prefer the printed logo on the inside even if it's seen as cheaper, because I don't like metal things with edges rubbing against my stuff. Also it's such a soft and floppy bag, having a metal plate on the inside seems weird and I wouldn't like that. I think I'd prefer the old strap though, since I feel the elastics won't hold too well over time. But it's not a big deal since I wear it as a sling bag so most of the length is extended anyway. As for the logo tag that was added on the outside. I don't think it's a big deal. Honestly if I wanted a bag that was low-key, no logo, not recognizable, then I'd just get a no name bag on Amazon. Lululemon is a bit of a flex brand anyway so I don't mind the extra branding.
Btw I have the black version and the nylon is soft and smooth. I think the purple (and some other colors) are made from a different material that feels more like a windbreaker? I could tell the texture is different from mine from the video.

Thanks for the comparison video, it gave a good idea on the differences of new & original version, especially the length part. But I'm curious to find out, besides the longest length of belt, what about the shortest length it can be adjusted to? 🤔 The original version seems has a stopper when adjusting to shortest length, and the extended version seems has an open end which is flexible & allowing the belt shorten to its maximum? Reason of asking is I'd like to use it as a waist pouch while jogging, and I'm petite in my size. I'm worry the belt can't be adjusted to shorter length in order to get the right fit. Would be much appreciate if you can share your thought on this, thank you 🙏

I have the new black one it’s the same exact material as the old black one. Some of the color ones are a different material.

The new one looks like a more floppy/thinner material…is that accurate? If that’s true it’s really a bummer they phased out the original. Plus the resale prices online are insane! I can’t find anything less than $70 I think bc colors are out of stock
The texture of the fabric between the ones I have are definitely different. Overall it is about the same. I think the main deal breaker is if you are ok with the "extended strap" I will be uploading another video about this soon. Stay tuned and thanks for your comment.

I absolutely hate the new strap! Original is so much better. I will be so disappointed if the do away with the original. I bought the purple as well and returned it bc the strap. The bands don’t stop sliding or hold strap and the strap eventually loosens itself. I need to buy up all the original as I see them before they are gone.
This is exactly how I feel. The time first time I wore it out, it keep loosen and falling lower and lower. I had to stop and fix it. It’s so annoying. Glad I’m not the only one. Thanks for sharing. ❤️
