I watched this video the night before I went to my Er interview for a residency spot as a new grad!!! I was so scared I almost didn’t go in. But the interview went amazing and they told me it was the best interview they had ever had with someone and they practically hired me on the spot!! I got the “official call” a few hours later just like you and I was so lost for words that I just cried! But the emotions you felt after they called you was exactly what happened to me too!!!

Great advice! I'm going in for my New Grad ER RN Residency interview in just a few hours (cohort would start in July 2022). It will be my first ever in-person interview for a nursing residency. ER is definitely one of the areas that I'm excited about pursuing. I got a taste of the unit with a couple of rotations during my Complex Needs course, and it was definitely an area I felt a connection with.
That is amazing! Major congratulations. I am graduating in May and the ER is where I want to be. I have a late start in applying for positions. But I am not going to stress myself.
