Permatex No.2 is my favorite for gaskets(not to replace gaskets, but to work with them). Silicone will work, in that spot.
50,000KM eh? That’s a lot of Kilometers, I wonder how many litres per 100 Kilometers it will get beyond now? I guess it depends on the degrees centigrade (Celsius) it is when you’re putting the K’s on huh?
So nice to see a well maintained KTM with so many kilometers, that´s how all bikes should be treated!

Damn compression is quite great on your bike for 5 yo ! I have an er6n (ninja 650r from 2007) abused from last owners, it has 72k kms, they didn't do the valve clearance at 40k kms and now i'm sort of out of specs..
Maybe a bigger engine, more bulky is just more reliable than a small 600cc that vibrates a lot.
I now have an XJ6N, from 2009, sat a long time in a garage, i guess at about 40-50k kms i'll do valve clearance check and compression test... Hoping the baby R6 engine powering it will hold on ! Last owners didn't know shit about maintaining the bike but also they were beginners so hoping the engine is clean ;
