There is one thing you could have mentioned. Given how this game's air dodges work differently and being offstage is a much worse situation to be in than in Smash 4, FLUDD is actually brutal, because it can force people to use double jump or air dodges that he can punish accordingly. Basically, the engine and mechanics buffed the move tremendously.
Alan Favoretto that’s a great point. I don’t think people have put too much thought into it because it hasn’t been utilized. Hopefully more Mario mains will pop up and start using the F.L.U.D.D. more.

@@yummyhershey5902 There has been though. Two Marios in Top 32, one being in 13th, which beat the other Mario being DarkWizzy, which had consistently been getting better and better results. And the FLUDD is not only being used as a neutral oppressor, but also as a tool for baiting opponents offstage or used to directly edgeguard people

Don't you love it when you're at around 3.5 mil gsp and you find someone really good and they keep beating you but you don't quit bc of your pride and end up at 2 mil...
It's worth it man. Gsp doesn't really matter unless you want to flex on people, I think learning matchups will help you out more in the long run. Plus if you've gotten there once you can do it again. And if you still don't want to lose your gsp that much just do a best of 5 set with the person.

Thats a good thing, I love losing in elite smash and people actually choose to stay, its perfect practice to keep playing against different playstyles.
So glad that you made a Mario guide!!! Ever since the invitational at E3 I decided I wanted to have Mario in my character pool and was wondering when you'd make this guide. The extra tips really help my Mario games as he's my secondary to Pichu. He's such a fun character to watch and play and honestly takes skill to use. How to play Mr WAHOO
One of my favorite grab options is a down throw near ledge at around 90 percent to a short hop FORWARD AERIAL. Real fast and hard to react to the insane dunk

I’m so glad you made this video. I’ve been watching you for years and I saw your big win in a Invitational 2018. I was inspired to play competitively on Smash Bros and ever since Ultimate came out, I was even more excited cause you could give us tips. Not just you but other people too. I ended up making it to Elite with Mario and more characters and I just have to say, thank you. I was having a hard time playing For Glory as Mario because I was just bad in the past and now I’m even better than I was on Sm4sh. So again thank you for this video and I will definitely be trying out the tips you showed us

@@t_dappa ok here is what you do. You unplug and plug your internet samutanuosly while playing and this will make the other mofos lag so it's basically a free witch time. Thank me later
Finally. Mario was always one of my faves (except in brawl) but I was having the hardest time getting him to work in Ultimate. Im gonna a few of these tips I didn't know right when i get home tonight. :)

I find it piss annoying to deal with Inklings as Mario but Mario has some good kill confirms at certain percentages and he has nice throw combos.
Also, don't be afraid to fight off / on the edge when the opponent is recovering.

Mario was my main is sm4sh, and he hasn't felt the same since. I definitely felt like he struggled to get in and get started without the down throw strings but i'm going to give him another chance and put these tips into practice, thabks zero!

How to play Mario: Jump, Upair x 2, jump, Upair x 2, Up B. That's it. The rest is just the fundamentals to get your opponent to that particular situation.
Side note: On the ground just bait an attack, block and then up tilt until 40 most of the roster and 60% the heavies. Then from there you can jump, up air and the rest is just up to you.

It just doesn’t connect out of down throw. It still greatly connects each other and becomes a smooth transition into up air and so on. I’ll shed a tear or two, but it’s just I little less cheap combo wise than it was before. #JusticeforMario

Mario is kind of like his games. They’re pretty easy to get the hang of, but if given a challenge (like in Mario Maker for example) he can be very precise.

Arthur Morgan you wanna know why you can’t get the hang of him? it’s because he’s probably one of, if not the most complicated character in the game. ZeRo has even said he can’t get the hang of him, or even understand how to play him... so I wouldn’t be expecting a “How to play Shulk” any time soon...
It’s really hard to cover everything that Shulk can do because the manado sword can change your play-style and change his mechanics. So don’t expect a “how to play shulk” soon.

Not gonna lie, I really liked Nintendo's mascot being top tier in smash 4. He was easy to pick up, but difficult to master. Too bad smash changed its mind :P
He honestly didn't change as drastically as everyone makes it seem...just now there's 70+ characters and his grabs don't work as well on the entire cast.
But Mario is still really good. Solid A tier

He also uploaded a tweet at the time saying stuff like he was sorry, and he would try to get better. Now, about maybe a month or two from today, he attempted suicide, but lived. We know this because his ex tweeted about it, and that's the short story of it.
@@hieveryonemynameiskermit4109 and at the end of the story he took Jisu to court and 90 percent of the allegations were lies and the other ten percent was over exaggerated with little to no evidence with zero being framed for doing something that he didn’t have all the details about he’s tried to get in contact with another girl called Katie who said she was underaged when she was talking to zero but after basically winning in court against jisu getting her to take down everything around the allegations hes tried to get into contact with the girl and she’s avoiding them so in my opinion since jisu helped her come forward with her story and she’s had to take her Twitter post and everything revolving it down do to basically being found to be a liar then the girl Katie’s side to the story was probably over exaggerated or lies with literally no evidence behind it so so ye he’s back now moral of the story Twitter is not the right place for serious allegations like this court is
Btw the other girl around the allegations was found to actually be 17 at the time talking to zero when zero was 19 so ye kinda sad when ya think about what the guy went through over nothing
