Everything needs fixed!!! - 1998 WoodMizer LT40 Super Hydraulic Sawmill Project - PT.1

I am attempting to get this portable sawmill back into the milling business. It is going to require A LOT of work but Im hopeful to get it back up and running. I have been wanting to use one of these for awhile so i can get some lumber cut for projects around the house. This thing is a beast! - ENJOY!!!

Your friend has a very good friend indeed. Nice to see the inner workings of the sawmill and your approach to fixing every step of the way. Also nice to see you don't just 'get a new part' if you can fix an existing one. I am a huge fan of fix it if you can.

It's simple to replace burnt coil wire. Just need to match new wire with same guage and length of old. Set up old part as a spool driven by drill or whatever to respool new wire evenly onto old part. Nothing to it really. Better and more durable than repairing several breaks on old spool. It can be quicker and easier too. I've reused wire from salvaged electronics that's in good condition. New wire is priced reasonably though.
