Shooting Star is one of the most addictive vibey songs i've heard in a very very long time. These ladies 100% deserve to be HUGE. Their personalities are so humble too if you watch any of their behind the scenes videos. You should check out the b-side called "Left Right" it has a heavy 90s old skool R&B vibe and it is FIRE. Also check out their dance crew video "XG MOVE #3" is it insane. Also the performance video for Shooting Star just came and is as good as the mv. "XG - SHOOTING STAR (Performance Video)"
You are right! This MV is full of Harajyuku culture and Japanese Pop culture. 2:10 it's homage to Sailor Moon, Japanese anime. They are overwhelmingly cute!
XG is the DREAM TEAM. AMAZON has an enormous SCREEN of XG in TIME SQUARE, NEW YORK. I’ve been a fan of them before their first MV debut. These AMAZING GIRLS are TRILINGUAL. Their DANCE PERFORMANCES are EXCELLENT and 🔥. They are ALL ROUNDERS so there’s some ridiculous jealousy but it just makes the ALPHAZ 💁🏻♀️🐺☺️ more determined. You should watch their INTERVIEWS because then you’ll see their ADORABLE 🥰 PERSONALITIES. I watched them all..MAYA as you will see is definitely fluent in ENGLISH, but it’s refreshing to hear the others speak JAPANESE. Thanks for sharing your support, positive and informative comments. If you want to know more about them, just watch all the stuff on their channel, especially their 'Welcome To My Party' self-intros and the Xtra XG / Behind The Scenes vids which showcase their engaging (and at times chaotic lol) personalities a bit more. They've also done some interviews recently, like with Young Hollywood and did one of those Try Not To Sing & Dance videos for React, which is so fun to watch. Also, please check out their Left Right PV. It's an amazing song, too! Honestly, they're such a fantastic group, both talented and humble, and deserve so much love and support.

キツネのお面に見えるのは狼のお面です。他の方も説明している通りXGのﾌｧﾝﾀﾞﾑの名前「ALPHAZ」の象徴です。
MVが出た時、メンバーたちが「ALPHAZをMVに隠しておいたから見つけてね」というような趣旨の事を伝えてくれました。
個人的にそれがこのお面の事だと解釈してます。(計2回確認できてます。全員こちらを見据えている場面と手を挙げて迫ってくる場面)(青い小さなぬいぐるみも本当は加えたい)

MVにはセーラームーンの変身シーン（私自身は知らないけど😅）やハローキティ、原宿ファッションなど多くの日本文化のオマージュが入ってましたね。
全員日本人ですけどオーディションは韓国、ベトナム、タイなどでも行われたそうで、AVEX傘下の韓国の新規事務所(XGALX)のため、ほとんどが日本人しか集まらなかったようです。5年前の当時は最年少のココナやマヤなどは小学生だったそうですよ。
余談ですがKep1erのヒカルも彼女たちと同じXGALX(エックスギャラックス)の第1期練習生だそうです。
