- This is what I communicated to the writing team about Superman:
Superman represents racism, so we can do whatever terrible, f$cked up sh$@ we want to his character, and the audience will not only accept it, but they’ll find it HILARIOUS.
With that said, let’s get a baseline for our writing of this character:
If a grunt platoon was left unsupervised in real life, and allowed to make a racist Afghan Police quadriplegic their pet, what would they do to him?
The answer to that question gets presented in loving, psychotic, and hilarious ways for the rest of the season.
Any time you think we might be going too far with Superman, think about the pain that racism has caused our black American brothers and sisters, at any time in history. Then think about the actor who played Sergeant Bishop, Matiyes Kinker, a Marine grunt, deployed to the Helmand Province, who felt the pain of racism while risking his life to help the Afghan people.
Once you’ve acknowledged that pain, give Superman another watch and lemme know what you think.

I think Military humor is similar to Hospital humor. I worked at a very well known Cancer Hospital and the shit that came out of our mouths was horrific at best. When your surrounded by death, humor is the antidote.

I can honestly say that the Corps was the absolute least racist group in this entire country. As long as you don't have a French name and speak with a heavy Cajun accent. After a year or so when I learn how to speak like a normal American that fixed itself. But then again we got recent but legal Mexican in the platoon he was known to revert to speaking Spanish when we got heavy gunfights. It wasn't that confusing but it was known for throwing off every one's accuracy from laughter.

There are real differences between the races caused by evolution and different environments. That's why things like different heart medications work better for black people than whites. Ignoring facts like that and many others is just ridiculous and trying to spare the feelings of people too weak to allow anyone to have a different opinion.
Well, it is true that West Africans generally have better genes for sprinting and that’s carried over to American and Caribbean black people too, just like how Eastern Europeans and Pacific Islanders are generally full of strength.
