THE COMEBACK IS REAL!! Master Saga SEASON 2 #6 ft. Farfa

- Welcome to Season 2 of Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Saga! We’re on brand new accounts, the ban list has been reset, and we have a bunch of fun twists planned! Each week @Farfa and I open up 10 Master Packs and 10 Secret Packs before playing in a best of 3 match to determine that episodes winner. The winner of each episode gets to open an extra 5 packs during the following week while the loser is allowed to craft any one card of their choice. At the end of the episode we draw a random card from the newly updated Deck of Many Things which features a variety of bonuses to help us build our decks! There is one catch, though: the ban list is going to function a bit differently this season. This time, the amount of bans and limits we get will be based on our win/loss ratio over the previous few episodes. Tune in every Wednesday at 5pm EST for new episodes of Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Saga!

@@half_blood Oh god, now you've reminded me of the dark times. I always remember gage losing and malding because that's funny, but Cimo pretending the matches were close and that Gage had a chance was simply infuriating and my brain straight up deleted it from my memory.

farfas deck is just a better version of dzeeffs 60 pile deck. Happy seeing farfa make what dzeeff could not, a true hero of the people. Joel!!!!
It's ironic he said he doesn't wanna go into the same packs as doug but he picked two packs back to back that doug chose and just pulled better 😂.
The 60 pile had the greydelle package and it was carrying the deck.
Doug's reaction to losing after summoning DPE absolutely captures what it was like playing when DPE first came out. People were just astounded if they summoned it and then lost LOL
to be fair he shouldnt have lost, all he had to do was use verte for the pop instead of dpe itself so he didnt die from battle by leaving it up for pank to hit and then pop his last monster. (he could also have forced the pank on summon but in the world he didnt the optimal play was get rid of the 500 attack monster and keep 2 defenders)

Doug’s pack luck this season has been super tragic
He had an opportunity to go for Harpies after getting Channeler. During a week in which he crafted another Channeler. Yet he did not go for Harpies.
He has a lot of this coming tbh
MBT took Dzeeff's pack luck from this series for Master Roulette and in exchange MBT can't pull commons in Progression Playoffs.

@@hazio7574 You need a good amount of SR's and especially UR's to make Drytron work as an efficiënt deck in this episode or for future episodes, the secondary archetypes in the pack are either terrible or way too high rarity.
I can understand how his pulls are bad but going into the Drytron pack in this kind of format, you only have yourself to blame for not picking literally any other lower rarity packs.

Its hilarous to me that Redoer is basically bargain bin DPE, and yet it's as effective on Dzeef as actual DPE is on Farfa.

As much as it's a pain in the ass to play against DPE, I was really rooting for you, Doug. Too bad it didn't quite work out, but for a few episodes, considering their ability to go into DPE could make for some interesting Secret Pack decisions - until Farfa inevitably bans him.

Smarter move would be to ban predaplant and destiny fusion. Banning those removes easy access to a fusion summon from the deck.

That 10th pack was him showing mercy
I was super excited for Doug's villain arc. I started thinking about what packs farfa would need to open to close the gap, he could hope to open the kaiju pack or darklord again, maybe try to summon something immune to destruction... then that last game happened. It's probably still going to be an uphill battle tbh.
Doug’s villain arc has begun but his main weakness has been revealed
He can’t do math
all he had to do was pop the pank when farfa refused to respond to his dpe effect 🤦♂, i swear sometimes he doesn't think before he does a play, he could try to make any excuse he wants, but letting pank with 2600 attack beat into verte and then pop his other monster is what did him in.
@@Mattadork he could also have used the Verte instead of DPE for the pop and kept a second blocker
@@xakannax agreed, idk why he got rid of dpe with it, not like farfa would have had much for it unless farfa got titan on the field and even then outing dpe without destruction is very difficult, and then once titan is out, as long as dzeeff had enough cards on the field to stall, farfa would eventually banish all the cards in his graveyard protection titan, dzeeff in no way would have won right there had he done the play we tell him to, it would have been a long journey because of colossus and titan's protection, but in the end because farfa doesn't have a fully dedicated thunder dragon deck, dzeeff would have won in the end.
Honestly, as funny as the end to last week's episode was, I honestly wish Farfa _didn't_ snatch Fusion Destiny from the top of Doug's deck. I honestly think that Farfa and his suddenly realizing Doug had been building the entire DPE engine over the past few openings could have been infinitely more hilarious. But hey, I guess it's a heart of the cards moment?

Every episode just gets better and better. Dzeeff's villain arc felt a bit short though, maybe it was rushed due to production issues, I hope it will be extended for the director's cut version.

don't feel bad for him, he lost this week not because farfa had a better deck, but because he refuses to make good plays XD, he had game winning dpe on board, he should NOT have lost with dpe, farfa had nothing to beat it, all dzeeff had to do was pop pank when farfa refused to use panks effect in response to dpe effect, and it was over.
i actually had this happen against a full on thunder dragon deck with my dark magician deck, i had dpe and that dpe alone made the match last over 10 turns, against a clossus and titan, actually i would have won if i hadn't made a misplay even... so really his own fault for losing against a semi thunder dragon deck XD

2 Effect Monsters
You can target 1 face-up monster on the field; it becomes DARK until the end of this turn. You can pay 2000 LP and send 1 "Fusion" or "Polymerization" Normal or Quick-Play Spell from your Deck to the GY; this effect becomes that Spell's effect when that card is activated, also, you cannot Special Summon monsters for the rest of this turn. 8 minutes in so far and I love dougs reaction to beta rastaban. It might as well just be another drytron name since all it does in archetype is recover monsters used for draconids effect but not even to hand. It's a deck that's really good in sealed but it's a lot of the decks power is in having 3 alpha thuban and mu beta fafnir in the extra deck and the deck literally doesn't work unless you pull meteonis drytron.

Doug will win if he do that. Next turn he just need to summon Natasha by shuffling benten in GY then tribute Natasha to summon delta. Use Natasha GY effect to steal one of farfa's monster (colossus if farfa make it).
Farfa will be forced to pop his own colossus using his pank and Doug can possibly draw 2 using his celestial in GY.
