- Welcome to Season 2 of Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Saga! We’re on brand new accounts, the ban list has been reset, and we have a bunch of fun twists planned! Each week @Farfa and I open up 10 Master Packs and 10 Secret Packs before playing in a best of 3 match to determine that episodes winner. The winner of each episode gets to open an extra 5 packs during the following week while the loser is allowed to craft any one card of their choice. At the end of the episode we draw a random card from the newly updated Deck of Many Things which features a variety of bonuses to help us build our decks! There is one catch, though: the ban list is going to function a bit differently this season. This time, the amount of bans and limits we get will be based on our win/loss ratio over the previous few episodes. Tune in every Wednesday at 5pm EST for new episodes of Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Saga!

To be fair, Farfa’s deckbuilding left something to be desired this episode. He was facing an oppressive task, though

I mean yea the tri-bird deck was crazy but was it really this opressive? Dzeef’s deck consistently sets up dpe and herald at this point and there’s just gonna be 3 more episodes of that xd
So a a few friends of mine and myself have made a similar format to this in master duel and played around 7-8 5 week long versions of saga (just long enough for everyone to play each other once before the free gems run out, we don't pace ourselves to 1 match a week though. The allure of pulling packs is too strong for us). One of the sagas one of us pulled destiny heroes, and as you might have guessed was enough to win an entire season basically by itself, and he didn't even have verte because of another rule we're using (no out of archetype crafts).
This is all just to say DPE will not be falling off anytime soon...

Invoked is theoretically really good with how low rarity everything is but we've seen people pull 0 commons or rares needed to play before lol.

Content creators across the board seem to be pulling straight ass; and my last 40 packs had 2 UR in the entire lot which were both the guaranteed 1
Yeah it's been some dog water lately honestly. Got 3 Urs in 40 packs so my lucks a little better but not by much
i thought there was a publicly known nerf and that's why no one was addressing it, because yeah the change in luck is not natural
and if you rewatch the beginning of this season the firsst packs are always good, but as soon as you're not a new player they become ass
the 10 pack i did before my last one had 3 copies of sunlight wolf and some sr cards so i think they play with the odds once in a while as my openings are usually ass

As a Magistus player, I'm happy to report that even in constructed, this archetype would lose to DPE going second. Even I would go 0-2 against DPE herald turbo
edit: however, saying it elsewhere made me realize. Farfa committing to Magistus and crafting the boss monster would legitimately be a great answer to DPE, since the fusion equipped to the boss turns off DPE, the link turns off verte if he pulls that. All he has to do is go first. clueless
As magistus player, yep that boss monster can disturb many decks, but just 1 kaiju can solve it.
@@TheGlendriv Yeah... a lot of decks can lose to kaiju tbf, but personally besides the obvious dream support of a way to make him not tributable, my hopes for any future magistus support(but the deck is very unpopular and weak so my hopes are low lol) are an in archetype equip spell that prevents targeting if there are 3 magistus spell/trap cards in your spell/trap zones and brings back 2 of your banished level 4 spellcasters with different names when sent to the gy and a counter trap that negates and banishes when your opponent activates a monster effect, and you can banish a magistus card in your spell/trap zone to add it to your hand.

Fun fact: "panda" means "bamboo eater", which means is used to refer to animals who eat bamboo rather that a species of animals in particular, in fact, pandas are basically bears, while red pandas are more related to raccoons and weasels (that's why they look alike), they are their own family tho. Farfa calling a red panda a "raccoon" isn't entirely wrong, specially if he never saw one, most people don't know red pandas are their own thing separated from raccoons and bears.
The objectively correct final play was overlay Izana and DPE into Exblowrer for game
So, uhhh, what happened to the "Deck of Many Things?" It hasn't shown up for the past few episodes so I'm wondering if you chose to scrap the idea (I'm sorry if I'm missing something). It's a bit of a shame if that's the case, I thought it made each episode unique in its own way, but I respect your decision either way.

I think that the main issue showing here is that a craft is so much better than 5 packs that losing the first 9 episodes will always guarantee you win the other 11
Bans do far more to counter crafts than packs, so it seems unlikely that is true. Getting a bunch of crafts in a row leads to winning most or all games until the next banlist, but should not extend past that most of the time.
Besides, losing the first 9 episodes cannot reasonably lead to winning the next 11 through the crafts from them, because the opponent will have had equal crafts after 9 of those episodes. And those crafts will be targeted against the original 9.
@@delta3244 if you lose the first 9 you get 9 bans and 9 limits against your opponent's 1 ban and 1 limit
@@cadonuno Your opponent gets no bans until episode 15 if you lose the first 9. But if you lost the first 9, clearly your opponent has a strong cardpool or is just a lot better than you. By episode 15, assuming they lose eps. 10-14, your opponent gets 5 bans, 5 limits, and 5 crafts targeted against what you spent the first 9 episodes building, and you have no way of combatting them.
If you couldn't win after getting 4 crafts, 4 bans, and 4 limits, you aren't going to be able to win after both you and your opponent get 5 more of each, especially not with you getting them first (since your opponent can just ban your last 5 crafts, limit 5 other power cards, and craft the 5 best cards to deal with your remaining pool).
