Highway 1 - Vancouver, BC Night Drive - Trans-Canada Highway - 2024/23

- We drive along Highway 1 from Surrey to Vancouver, over the Port Mann Bridge and Ironworkers Memorial Bridge into the North Shore. We then cross the Lions Gate Bridge into Downtown Vancouver.
This video is a test of my new Sony AX53 camera, which you will see used more often throughout 2024-filmed videos and beyond.

New camera works nice For doing what you do, it's great. Very nice video footage. For what I do, the GoPros are better due to their compact size and easy mounting. Nice tour of Highway 1 and the Lion's Gate bridge. Haven't been to greater Vancouver since just before Covid. I'm hoping to go back this year. Are you from that area?
Thanks! I’ve lived in the Lower Mainland for most of my life, and hoping to do the region justice with the new camera.
For the 3 years I’ve used the GoPro, it has definitely done the trick especially with daylight footage, and with how easy it is to bring around. The new camera is a significant upgrade, but is much larger and heavier to bring around with me, at least compared to the GoPro.
Fun fact. The first song you used in this video is part of the NFS: Most Wanted (2012) soundtrack. I played NFS: Most Wanted (2012) in my Xbox 360 and remember hearing that song.
This is the only respectable section of the highway. The other part of Highway 1 outside of the city is just a 2 lane road with intersections, traffic lights and drive ways.

I’ve had the camera running while southbound on Shaganappi before, between Stoney and Market Mall, but I’m haven’t been able to check if the footage is usable yet
