That's honestly pretty incredible I gotta tell ya Marc I've been a sub for a very very very long time since the vita days and it's amazing to see how your videos evolved over the years keep on making them awesome videos dude😁
I use steamlink and moonlight on my Apple TV4k, have my apple tv and my computer both connected to my Gig speed router with ethernet cables and the experience is dang near flawless. With a Chromecast you can get an ethernet adapter so you can get a wired connection to your network, anytime you do anything over air its always the chance to get some random frequency interference from all the stuff transmitting around you. And if your tv is too far away from your router to run a cable to it, they have these Ethernet adapters that you can plug into the wall and it can use the wiring in your walls like a cable that would get you a more fast and stable connection than wifi.
Great idea putting the power button on the left hand side in control centre for quick access, never thought about that.
Fantastic! Very clear and well explained! Greetins from Ecuador
Pretty cool and it travels to the beach house … or mountain cabin thanks Mark !
Great video thank you, I'm planning on buying the Chromecast 4K to remote play my PS5 upstairs
How’s it working for you? I just saw Sonys recent trailer. I’m thinking of getting one
Yup the Chromecast with google tv I have it and it's pretty awesome 😁
Got my Chromecast 4K today, the setup is nice but the picture quality takes some getting used to, I'm used to playing my PS5 on a OLED tv, so to suddenly see the remote play quality dip was a hard swallow but after some time it was cool
Hi , do you know is it possible to connect 2 controllers to chrome cast and play offline game with a friend like fifa or any other coop through remote play :) ?
Why does the microphone of the controller does not work when you play via the Chromecast? Or do you need a separate headset? Especially when you play fortnite, you can hear your friends but they cant hear you.. please help/advise
I have an old, Samsung 1080p 24 inch bedroom TV. I can connect my PS5 with the 4K Chromecast. But it is a bit laggy and jerky. I could use it at a pinch.
But a solid HDMI cable will always yield a better picture and less lag; especially below 25 ft lengths for the HDMI 2.1 spec.
So I use two 4k 120 hz HDMI 2 in 1 out bi-way selectors. One to select between PS5 and Xbox SX, and the other to select between the 24- inch Samsung tv and my 2K 32- inch gaming monitor. Using hdmi 4k/ 120 hz 2.1 cable.
Or I can unplug one of those hdmi cables and plug them into my 55 inch Sony 4K ALLM, VRR TV.
What about my Xbox SX?
I believe I could cast it to my phone or laptop with Xbox remote gaming app then cast it to Chromecast on the 24" Samsing from my phone. But I fear it would have considerable input delay, and would only display in 720p, or NES/ SNES Classic and PS3 resolution
Does this work on the 2022 Google chrome cast or only the 4k chrome cast version ?
Whats more important? wired connection to the ps5? or distance from the chromecast to ps5?
ima try this when i get home
Would you recommend this over getting a PlayStation portal?
How can you use multiplayer with this method when I connect both of the controllers to the TV they're working as one unit instead of individually
How to chat with friends
Can you compare it with the Fire to Stick 4K max.?
Thanks!!!
Which version of Chromecast with Google TV do you have? I just picked up the 4K version and it’s not compatible with Remote Play. I can download or push the app from the Play Store. I suspect this only works with the HD certain.
I have the 4K version
@@Marcthegeekmy bad. It does work. I think I needed an update. Seems to be working now. Thank you.
I can't get passed the sign in to psn button, just get the blue background
Does chat work when you remote play this way?
If you compare with playing remote play on a phone. Do you notice any differens in latency or lagg?
Small one
5.0Ghz is not always the better option, it does have more bandwidth than 2.4Ghz but has much less range.
If your right near your router 5Ghz is great, if your not near your router 2.4Ghz is superior.
5.0 Ghz will always be the best option if you are doing Remote Play. I've been doing Remote Play for years now, and that's my experience every time when compared to 2.4
Hows the lag in a fadt passed game like FPS
Can you leave your ps5 at home and connect youre Chromecast at a friends house and play ? Sorry for my bad english
Yes. As long as you have a great internet connection and use the same user name.
When you're done playing, how do you disconnect the controller from the Chromecast without having to go into the settings and choosing forget device
Hold the PS button in for about 10 seconds and the controller will turn off.
@@lechatron game changer lol
No luck searching for PS Remote Play for me. It said to me it didn't exista :(
I am Moving in a new house and I will have 500mbit there. You think its good for remote play?
Yes that should be good. Try to have the PS5 connected via wired Ethernet and you'll have a much better experience.
Hi , the ps remote play app isn’t available? Only the £3.99 app? Got this working but the lag is terrible don’t wast your time
Get better internet buddy, mine works fine, and the dude in the video made it work too.
You probably have older firmware. Official app is available only from android 12. It seems that this paid knockoff app is pretty bad
@@triple6mikey hi got the correct app working but wanted to use this to play call of duty, not a chance
But the time my first shot landed the game was over
@@user-vr6bu8rp5cyou can’t play any kind of competitive/ shooting game on any remote play. More for slower story games.
I will say that it is not the internet, but the Chromecast that is causing the delay. It is pretty low in specs. I have much better experience with remote play on PC and on a phone on the same network.
Sony and Apple seem to have a friendly relationship, I wish they would put the remote play app on the Apple TV.
I remember years ago, I got a CZcams Claim Strike by Sony for making a video on how to do PS4 Remote Play on the Apple TV. I had to take down the video.
How do i find the app? I tried looking for it and nothing im honestly thinking of leaving my ps5 in the living roon connected to LAN and play in my room 🤔
I just searched for PlayStation Remote Play in the Google TV search area and it came up and installed.
I have the old chromecast like a little black stick I’m guessing you can’t do it with this one huh? Gotta buy the new white one smh
i get 425 on wifi so i think that will be enough for it to run smooth
That should be enough
Marc ❤
are you at united states?? the app didn’t show up on my chrome cast, i have other app that i have to buy for $5
Texas USA
Search "PS Remote Play"
Same can’t find it
Jiston tixas
The 2023 Sony TVs come with Android 10, while the remote play app needs Android 12…
That doesn't make sense. That's messed up.
Do you get vibration on the controller?
I would have to get back home and try. I wasn't paying attention to that. Thanks
No vibration 😐
how’s the delay?
It depends on the internet speeds. So far, it's been great playing Spider-Man Miles Morales
Before that existed, a thing called an “HDMI cable” had been invented 🤫
Good luck finding an HDMI cable to go between different floors of the same house or through walls of different rooms if you want to play your PS5 on other TVs that the PS5 isn't connected to. It's like you missed the entire point as to why this is a feature.
Ha ha do you work for cromecast
