If anybody can pour their soul and talent into just one song and become immortalized beyond their death ― "Goodbye Horses" has done this for Diane Luckey (a.k.a Q-Lazzarus). I've heard many, many covers sung by countless bands ― However, this takes the ultimate prize.... !!!!
There's a languishing pain that's infused into this cover song that lifts this version above all others, but in many ways, it's a completely different song. It's depth and eventual lift creates a dynamism featuring a fantastic emotive seam running throughout the songs length that's completely refreshing. "Goodbye Horses" isn't as easy to sing, like most people like to think, from my own personal experience: How many songs has only the freeway been privy too....???
