ok i create start.bat and don't show it run so either this is lie or what i had full factory reset but i don't remeber it being start.bat
For anybody having trouble where it just flashed the CMD and does nothing, make sure your folders have no spaces in their names; that stops it from doing it's functions, so make sure your path and folders match and have no spaces

Fivem had made an update. When your server is online. The localhost button will now automatically appear on the home screen

A lot of issues people are messaging me about is with the start.bat not working.
Make sure the folder name has no spaces! ex: Server Folder...
Instead name it ServerFolder or Server-Folder. Having that space makes windows wanna cry.
Make sure you have this then correctly edited in the code for the start.bat as well!

You must install Visual C++ Redistributable 2019 or newer

Hey man nice tutorial. Another good video would be showing how to add popular scripts for like RP and stuff. Custom cars and resources and what not.
I'll get right on that. I did create one for fivepd and a different script. If you would like a certain one you can recommend one. I'm currently making one for making your server an esx server.
@@CipherYo I have a friend that said he would host my server, but all i can make work is FX as soon as i try to add DB or resources it stops working. Basically yes I want ESX and drugs and store robberies and custom cars.

Make sure there are no spaces in your folder name. i have a video explaining the start.bat more

Don't place it on your desktop place it on your C: or D: or other drive also create a new line and type "pause" so if it's still doing the error try typing that once typed if it's something like Invalid or something copy the text from the description and then where it says your folder name put your folder name and it should work.

I did all steps and when I hit "start.bat" it opens and then closes
I had it done perfectly and was playing with my server for a while. I then restarted my pc the next day and start.bat disappeared. I just made it again and edited it but now when I try to click it my start.bat shows for a split second then disappears like it was never opened. Any advice?

it takes sometimes a while for server list to update. make sure your server is on and port forwarded properly

FiveM sometimes is just a pain, it takes a few tries at times. If not clear your FiveM cache, i have a video on this.

Port forward it. And no you can play and run server on same pc. You would just connect to it as local host

When I open up the server.cfg in visual studio code again, there is nothing to see. just as if it is a new empty data. is this normal?
shouldnt be. if it shows up in notepad maybe try re-installing visual code

fivem always does changes, just press F8 for the console menu and type connect localhost

Theres a detailed explaination of this on the discord... If you can't access it then here goes;
Computers dont like spaces in the addresses so any folders with spaces WILL cause a crash, (Examples being, "My Server"), A fix in this case would be to just change the name of the server folder like "MyServer" or "My-Server" from the example.
This would, in the case the server folder is called "MyServer" and is placed in the D drive, make the bat file look like this;
:white_check_mark: D:\ MyServer\server-data
D:\ MyServer\server\FXServer.exe +exec server.cfg
:negative_squared_cross_mark: D:\ My Server\server-data
D:\ My Server\server\FXServer.exe +exec server.cfg
NOTE: Spaces between the bold letters and the slashes are there to allow the letters to show up as bold, otherwise they mix up with the slashes and dont show up bold. When making your file, you should skip the spaces between the bold letters and the slashes
Second Case would be duplicates in the path, For example in the addresses used above
D:\MyServer\ server-data\server-data
D:\MyServer\ server\FXServer.exe\server\FXServer.exe +exec server.cfg
Any duplicates will cause the file to crash since the file tries to call a folder named server-data within server-data however in reality, there is only one server-data folder.

if it opens and closes again make sure you dont have any spaces in there. same as the folder name your server is in. it wont recognize the space and therefore not work. look at the pinned comment to see what i mean
