Is that sarcasm? I see one black man and talking of diversity, I see no women. But this is the first time I have come upon them, so being a boys club might be their thing
@@CeciliaNorthWriter Wasn't at all being sarcastic, why would you think this? As a black person it's so obvious looking at this band that it's a very diverse band, loads of different cultures. It's definitely not the case that it's a majority white males band.
Genuine question, do you know something about this club that would suggest to you that their selection process is racist, rather than there being a smaller cohort of equally skilled black musicians applying? I am all for encouraging naturally forming representation (teaching jazz to more children from a young age) but not when it's forced through quotas and 'positive discrimination' at higher levels.
Absolutely superb, loved this!
Whole thing was bloody brilliant.
Great show. Some very talented musicians.
British show bizz in jazz is great. Beautiful!

The best thing about this is is the wealth of racial diversity in the band!

@@sultanstevenson with a black & a mixed race dude in the line up.
Is this allowed at the moment?
we’re not in the 50’s anymore. where’s the representation? such a disappointment, you guys should know better.
So any style of jazz pre 2021 is now irrelevant? Are you serious?
@@eddiemosssax no, that’s not my point at all. but go off.
@@KeahnneCarlita no women in the band?
@@KeahnneCarlita what is your point?
