jimin was the person who made me fall for him so bad that I started stanning BTS , he's an angel with an angelic soul and he has come a long way , now that he is grown up he is more happy and not hard on himself but he still works the hardest , anybody hating on him is truly cruel inside out.
You can be the most beautiful person in the world, but when people tell you constantly that you are fat, ugly, send you death threats, etc. you are going to have doubts, that's human nature.
Don't worry He has more people who love him than people who hate him, the proof is that he is one of the members who wins the most trophies.(Best dancer, hit boy, king of kpop, korean medal honnor etc..) we love him do much, he's beautiful and talented ans kind ❤️😍❤️😍

I almost cried after watching that. I still cannot believe that Jimin ever thought he was unattractive. I mean, come on like, LOOK AT HIM! He’s not just my bias for his talents and personality. I mean, the first thing that caught my attention on him was his looks. I personally think he’s more attractive looking than Jin. Not saying Jin isn’t good looking, cuz that man a handsome dude, but Jimin just always looks amazing like, he can literally wear a garbage bag and I guarantee that his face and hair would still look perfect. I think he's so amazing. He was last to join as trainee. Grew his voice and his talent despite no formal singing lessons after he joined so no wonder he struggled. Yet still he graced and still does even more so with his special voice which gets better all the time (how that's possible is incredible). Inspirational and he's such a kind hearted man too. Agree, protect Jimin. Protect all of them.

Jimin deserves all the love, the same love he always spreads to the world no matter all the hate he receives. Jimin is the most beautiful, genuine, selfless, kindness human being i ever saw in me whole life. He always puts all the efforts to give to us the best of him and he always do that. I really hope that nowadays his toughts and his criticisms about himself are much less. We don't want a perfect Jimin always we just want him healthy and happy. Never any other idol touched my heart like he does, he is unique with an aura that only him has. His voice is so unique and touches the hearts of so many people and his dance is so magical and gorgeous that is hard to believe he is real, and the most important he teaches us how to love ourselves . At first I tot this video is about Jimin body dysmorphia. There used to be a lots of video talking about his drastic weight lost. In addition to struggling with his voice and feeling that he is not enough for bangtan he also struggle with his weight. Even until today's it's always sadden me when he says he's fat or he's not thin enough. But the bright side he did become more confident with his voice and dancing. Performing make him happy.
Body dysmorphia is a clinical diagnosis so unless you’re his personal psychiatrist you shouldn’t make such statements.

You are right when I got into BTS ... actually I thought "yooo... they are very famous and rich , so no problem " but when I learn about these guys specialy Jimin I was so sad... if I was jimin I would probably give up.... just think he didn't have vocal lessons before he even asked to permission to go and see other members get vocal lessons , his dancing style didn't match to his group, he only had few months as a trainee to make his spot to team and even then the group members had their choreography he didn't had any space even after debut lot of people said" he is fat" , "only for showing body" and "doesn't have any talent" ... he had very strict diet plan.... when they become famous he had more than three death treads and even now thwre are some shippers and solo fans telling hin to "die", "stay away fron some members" ,"jimin has no talent" he doesn't deserve this hate.... he is such a humble man
I love him. I love the process he's been through. He's just a normal person like all of us. But I learned from him how to make myself grow. I respect his warm and good heart. He has something beyond his pretty appearance and ability.

Bas, A lot of Jimin’s heartache and struggles seemed to be because of the way BigHit neglected his training. He didn’t seem to doubt himself until he moved in the dorm.
Remember, he was a social person with many friends in Busan. Teachers loved. He was a top student. A math and chemistry gawd according to a relative. He was studying and achieving in martial arts, dance, and academics. He entered the arts high school number in the school academically and in Dance. No one had ever done that from the dance department. He was getting attention back then. In I think middle school, girls collapsed a stage he was performing on. He ran track. He was an over achiever. He was also very introspective.
Bas, your voice is beautiful. You sing. Jimin was not a singer. He was a dancer. He wanted to sing. He wanted to become an Idol.
He wins his audition with BigHit. *****HE DID NOT RECEIVE VOCAL TRAINING. JIMIN BASICALLY TRAINED HIMSELF****
That is the reason you hear him talk about not knowing how to work his vocal cords. Jin, V, Jk and received vocal training.
Jimin asked JK if it would be alright if he watched his lessons from the back of the room. Trainees in groups have monthly evaluations.
Jimin said he never knew what goals to set because he never knew what the company wanted. He said every month when he spoke to his dad, he always reminded him that he might be kicked out. Jimin had roughly one year to learn everything the rest of the members had learned already during their training time. This is how his insecurity seemed to manifest. He said he didn’t know quite what his roles were. Everyone knew Jin was THE visual. JK and V were visuals. All were vocalist with JK as main vocalist. He also was a rapper when needed.
In interviews he would hesitantly say I don’t know, they say I am charming RM would chime in. Then you saw him say attractiveness in this video. We see all of Jimin’s talents, he was born to be entertainer. BH was always on the verge of cutting him. This is the reason he trained until 4am slept practically in the practice room and woke up at 6:30am to start all over again. He had to play catch up and he had to try to anticipate what they wanted and practice, Jimin did a lot of his own training, he watched CZcams videos of famous artists when he could. Add on top of that insults from social media. Oh, then use him like doll. He didn’t come up with the raise the shirt idea on his own.
Eventually, he didn’t mind because of the attention he received. Of course it added pressure to maintain those perfect abs…..

Im sorry but this the most icredible thing on earth that he sings with this technique without having any vocal training it's just incredible. Jimin isnt even my bias (ot7) but i respect him the most among all the members for his achievements. I don't know everyone on this planet but for me Jimin is the man who comes closest to perfection.
@@amandine2791 I am ot7 too. When I watched interviews and other things, I became troubled by Jimin’s responses when he was questioned about his role in the group. It didn’t make sense to me. I understand in k-pop their are visuals, but Jimin was not a visual. Jin was primarily the visual then Tae, and JK. What the hell is charm as a role in the group? He received so much hate about his singing, but he couldn’t sing. He was a trainee 1 year before they debuted. He never received the attention like Jin to help him learn vocal techniques. During the concert where he was sick and his throat hurt so much he had a difficult time breathing, when I saw that footage I asked myself why is going on stage he is very sick why isn’t he sipping on hot tea or water with lemon and honey. What kind of vocal/throat care was he taught? The more I learned, the more my heart ached for what he went through. He had to work himself beyond exhaustion to learn. He once said he didn’t feel ready when they debuted.
He has a very special place in my heart because of his struggles. It’s the one of two issues I have with Bang Si-Hyuk. The emotional psychological beat down of Park Jimin. The second is the way Taehyung was tucked away in a corner watching the other members interact with people on social media. He’s a secret and the reason really hasn’t been explained well. If we ask Taehyung, he wouldn’t really understand all of these years later. He was so sad. He was a secret and he was away from his family. Those two went through a lot.
All of them are so special. They all were meant to be together. The personalities, the drive, the willingness to grow, the ability to look beyond one’s self so they can succeed and help each other achieve their dreams. Seven who could put egos away, encourage each other to try different things. They cheer each other on. They learn from one another. They learn to resolve conflict in a healthy way. They love each other.

On the other hand there are also things that happen in the present that I don't really like. I'm mainly going to be talking about Jimin because to be honest I haven't seen any nasty comments about other members and I've been on Twitter for several years. What annoys me the most (maybe even more than the solo-stans) are the toxic shippers. Especially toxic Taekookers. there are outright accounts created to report people who hate on jimin. and guess what? 90% of people are Tae bias. I don't know what this poor man did to get that psychopathic stan but it's getting really annoying. I'm not a shipper but I was. I was a Taekook shipper (because Tae was my bias) but when I saw what some Taekookers say about jimin I was so disgusted that I took a complete break from Bts. I spoke with former Army who also told me that they left the fandom because of the toxicity. this side of kpop makes me so angry bts all love each other so much i just can't understand why some people are so pathetic. I completely strayed from the subject there sorry I was too into it 😅 anyway that was it for me Merry Christmas💜💜💜💜. Now, bedtime!

Thank you so much for speaking in and addressing as well as correcting, as usual so many misinformed, incorrect statement this vid made, as usual. For one thing, May I add, JIMIN never had a problem showing off his abs, which he was quite proud of. It's just that he was afraid that he'd be referred to only as the 'boy with the abs' as opposed to his talent for singing or dancing. Which was sort of true for awhile.
JIMIN in actuality, never had a problem showing off his abs. Lol! JIMIN even open up his shirt and exposed his abs while performing TVXQ's song 'Mirotic', during an Afterschool performance he'd did while still in Busan Highschool of the Arts. Girls even chased him down to the bathroom the next day after that performance!
Also though JIMIN signed as a trainee with Bug Hit a bit earlier, JIMIN was not signed on as a member of BTS til January 12, 2013. Which is exactly 6 months before BTS debuted. In this short time he had to learn all the songs, while as you address, never even ever having any vocal training, beforehand, or even after signing.
Also having to learn all the choreography as well as being in sync with all the other members who already have been trainees and worked together as already members. Since 2 or in some cases 3 yrs already. The very fact that inspite of all this BigHit thought so highly of JIMIN that he was give the official title of not only Main Dancer, but Lead Voclaist since BTS debuted speaks volumes!!

When I got into bts Jimin was immediately the person I felt most drawn to. I love all members equally, but there’s a reason the word bias exists. I think in terms of personality and struggles with self love and acceptance we have a lot of similarities, I just admired him because I thought he had overcome these difficulties since he’s such a great person. And he is, he is the purest soul, the loveliest boy, kind, friendly, lovable, and generous. But I felt even more connected to him when I noticed he hadn’t really overcome his struggles, just like I hadn’t overcome mine. That’s what keeps me going, knowing “there’s someone in the city of Seoul, Korea, who understands” me. He is my greatest motivation and in a way, I would say, something like my best friend. Always there when I need him :)

I became an army in 2017 and I feel like it was meant to be like fate for me because that was when I was in the darkest part of my life. What I mean darkest part of my life is I don't love myself. I let people influence me and helped people, but got hurt in the end. It was the hardest thing for me to live while not loving myself. I felt like I had to prove myself to reach that happiness. Watching Jimin's journey and how the other members struggled with their fears makes me realize that everyone struggle in some way and you can take control of it and change it. I started to appreciate what I can do and just became happier. Self love isn't selfish in this situation like Jimin because mental health is real. Your biggest enemy is yourself because that is who you listen to the most. It's tough starting loving yourself, but once you do your life will change for the better. My life did and I never been this happy and proud of myself. BTS is talented in the music industry, but what really made me an army and I think for most of us is showing that everyone is human. I love how we get to see their journey and I feel like I can relate to all of them in different aspects of my life. I'm proud to be an army because they helped me to change my life for the better. Thank you BTS from the bottom of my heart and I hope I can help others to find their happiness in themselves.
To be honest, I was ready to critique this video. Not because of the subject but because many of these type of videos show a member being victimized by other members through out of context snips, or false/ mistranslated subtitles and the creators can't actually prove if any member said it only that they got it from Twitter. They are like little scandal or gossip rags
This one I liked. It really went through a well thought out journey of Jimin. I would love to see a video of each member like this. Each one had a separate journey yet the journey was together as well. It's beautiful to see when you start at the beginning.

JIMIN even here is once again down playing his abilities, always so humble Also so much isn't mentioned here. Like how being that JIMIN only joined BTS in January 12 2013, only 6 months before BTS debuted, (which is usually unheard of) he had virtually no vocal coaching as did all the other members who had all been signed as members since 2-3 yrs before. JIMIN even talked about how he watched from outside while Jk & Tae were given vocal lessons. Jimin never had any vocal training in his past. JIMIN had to learn all BTS songs and dance moves as well as be in sync with all other members also learn the 'Kpop hip hop style' which is a bit different, more dumbed down then his more hard core style he learned. at Just Dance Academy since age 11.
Being the perfectionist JIMIN is, he was most concerned of not having any vocal technique training so as to sing without straining and use his vocal chords more properly being the perfectionist he is! JIMIN was never 'insecure ' as much as being a perfectionist and striving to be the best at anything he does!
Also always shown are clips backstage when he was questioning his vocal ability. But it's never mentioned that that JIMIN had laryngitis right before arriving in Cihile the first stop in their 2017 Wings Tour. So he was more upset at not being able to be at his best yo say the least in front of army. Funny how when there are many clips of JIMIN comforting other members backstage when they are concerned about their performance not being quite as good do to illness, nobody ever calls or says they're insecure! Lol!
Also always shown is the early 2016 vlog from Japan that JIMIN made, but always edits out the part where he's ultimate LY saying he wished he could take 6 months off to get the vocal coaching he has yet to receive. No matter how good one is, if not using proper technique one can station vocal chords, or have as much stamina. It's amazing how JIMIN was so amazing naturally as a born singer BigHit gave him the tile of Lead Voclaist as well as Main Dancer!!!

Its a mix of alot of things. If you've been following jimin thru the years you wud notice, he's a perfectionist and has a thirst to prove himself. He wasnt going to rest until he was one of the most famous members.
Which is why he struggled badly till 2016. So did all the other members( as they've said).
After that hes gradually gotten better at his self image. Its just sad that his self image is based on wt other ppl think of him.

JiMin is the biggest reason for the development of my own self love. I've been following him since at least 6 years already, and it's safe to say that I was nothing but oblivious to all the pain and hardships that I was enduring at the time just because I didn't know any better. While following his improvement and his hardships, learning how hard he was being on himself, I started noticing that I too, did the same, pushing myself way over the limit just because I didn't think I was doing well enough, nor at dancing, nor at school, nor at home. For myself I was worthless of many things, such as love. I started wondering if I deserved any good, because, you know, I wasn't doing good enough, so why would I be deserving or worth of good things that for me were prizes. I wish someone had told me that yes, that as long as I just existed, I deserved good things.
I was alone back then. But while watching him grow and learn, I learned too. I wished he could cut himself some slack, so I started giving myself what I wished for him to have. And when I felt I was lacking again, I would go and seek his improvement as a form of inspiration, as a role model in how I should be softer, kinder and put myself first, my health and wellbeing as priorities instead of being harsher than anybody else on me.
To the day, I still seek him when I lose my will, because that can happen and that's perfectly okay too. I know now that being human and taking a break are just parts of myself and that are absolutely necessary for a proper life. His efforts ground me and help me grow as better person not only to other people but also to myself.

I relate to this a lot. I struggle with self love every day. Sometimes I feel amazing, like I'm awesome and capable and my best self, but then I crumble and I'm back to doubt.
I look at myself in the mirror and everything seems wrong. I'm transgender, so my body looks like a different way than I know I am inside. And while I actually love the way my face looks sometimes, I'll often look at it a second time and all that confidence fades away. People even compliment my appearance and say I'm really pretty, but most of the time I just feel like they don't actually mean it. Even though I know I'm supposed to love myself, it's really hard.
And my voice too. I practice singing all the time. I do choir and musical theater as well. But sometimes I hear my own voice and just cringe at all the flaws. Again, people compliment my voice and I always just figure that they're lying or just being nice. It's hard because I really want to be a singer and I am so often questioning if I'm cut out for it.
I think this comes from a variety of things. Being mentally ill and struggles with gender dysphoria, among other things. I'm doing my best to combat it, but sometimes my own self-deprecation slips under the radar. I often remind myself to "be humble" or to "not think you're better than other people," but those good sentiments turn into "don't think you're good at all."
It sucks, but I think I'm getting better. I didn't even realize this issue before discovering BTS. Now, they really help me call out the problem and BTS has helped me love myself. The members, especially Jin and Jimin in this case, have really shown me how to get better and how to love yourself.

Jimin is literally the reason i get out of bed, that I don't do something stupid when I'm at my lowest. Every morning I renew my promise to Jimin not to throw myself away by starting the day with Promise. And when I really need it, an mp3 clip of him saying that I am good enough.
Jimin is too good for this world. But I'm glad I got to live in this Bangtan era. (YT recced the Home perf on Fallon's BTSWeek at EXACTLY the right moment to make sure I even got to become Army.)

i saw bts for the first time in a carpool karaoke, but even i didnt know any of their songs, their personalities made me wanna know more. i cant process the fact they're the biggest group in the world but still the most humble people i know. and especially jimin is so selfless. hes not my bias but i love his pure soul so much. i know he's been throught such a things as fatphobic messages, not eating for days, hating his voice and lots of other hates. like rm said: everyone has come from different places with unesasy past, that's why we are such a group.

I think the only thing wrong back then was his tendency to be a perfectionist,combined with the pressures that come with being an idol trainee and the disappointment of not meeting the standards he set for himself...he was too hard on himself,trying to be someone he is not...he is not the serious,overly manly perfect person but on the opposite he is actually cute and sweet and funny and sometimes clumsy but always adorable...once he got comfortable in his own skin,realised he doesn't need to be anyone else but he is more than enough just the way he is,he became the jimin we see today...the openly affectionate cutest excited little bub whose friends strive for his attention,he looks more comfortable singing too...
He is an inspiration for all of us in our journey of self-love...

From my POV, God’s love is the best love but through his love we can love ourselves because he first loved us. Jesus died for us even when we were a mess. (some people are still a mess, but God allows do overs). He says we are “fearfully and wonderfully made.”
It hurts my heart so much to see people struggle with their self-worth and the challenges of how people may view them. When you get that famous, even though there is a lot of love, there is also a lot of hate being thrown at them and they really are not bulletproof because they are human. Once again, yet another vid that's editing out, certain parts of clips, as well omitting, or is not fully informed, so once again calling Jimin 'insecure' when he's being a perfectionis, or concerned or felling bad, when not doing well because of illness, being 'insecure' is farthest from the truth in so many ways! Funny how when other members are upset when they're not doing their best, they're never called 'insecure'. Or if they go on extreme diests which they've talked about as well, nobody says they have a eating disorder!!

Like how being that JIMIN only joined BTS in January 12 2013, only 6 months before BTS debuted, (which is usually unheard of) he had virtually no vocal coaching as did all the other members who had all been signed as members since 2-3 yrs before. JIMIN even talked about how he watched from outside while Jk & Tae were given vocal lessons. Jimin never had any vocal training in his past.
JIMIN had to learn all BTS songs and dance moves as well as be in sync with all other members also learn the 'Kpop hip hop style' which is a bit different, more dumbed down then his more hard core style he learned. at Just Dance Academy since age 11. Being the perfectionist JIMIN is, he was most concerned of not having any vocal technique training so as to sing without straining and use his vocal chords more properly being the perfectionist he is!
JIMIN was never 'insecure' as much as being a perfectionist and striving to be the best at anything he does! Also always shown are clips backstage when he was questioning his vocal ability. But it's never mentioned that that JIMIN had laryngitis right before arriving in Chile the first stop in their 2017 Wings Tour. So he was more upset at not being able to be at his best yo say the least in front of army. Funny how when there are many clips of JIMIN comforting other members backstage when they are concerned about their performance not being quite as good do to illness, nobody ever calls or says they're insecure! Lol!
Or when he talked about going on an extreme diet, that he himself said he'd never do again, all of a sudden false rumors spread by haters saying he has an eating disorder, they even made a point of mistranslating the Korean words, which were misquoted as saying 1 meal in 10 days when it was 1 meal each day for 10 days. It seems to me that people who fear their own lack of value, who have poor self-esteem, find it “comforting” to hate on people who are genuine and loving, because they believe that they could never achieve those things. Thankfully they are wrong and Jimin contributes to their own possibilities for self love!

I really want to give Jimin a huge hug and I'm not much of a hugger, I don't really like it, but he deserves a hug!
I actually really want to know how people can love themselves? Like how do you do it? I sincerely hate myself so much with a passion beyond imagination. I rarely look at myself in the mirror because it makes me want to fucking cry. It sounds like an overexaggeration but it's 100% true.

Jimin has got so much hate before. He literally went into a serious diet and lost a lot of weight because people said he was fat and not handsome. People also said he couldn't sing. That was the reason why he was too critical of himself. He was the last member and had the shortest training. His vocals was one of his greatest concerns at that time. The song Lie was written by himself and it wasn't about someone who lied to him but the lies or the negative thoughts that got him to be so insecure of himself. He worked so hard to become a better vocalist.
