I made a dragon inspired by Italian Renaissance costuming and medieval tapestries for the end of Maryland RenFaire's season, and I finished the whole thing in three days! It was definitely a bit of a time crunch to get everything done but it all worked out and I was able to use up some of my stash fabric. There are definitely some things I would do a little differently if I'd had more time, but I'm happy with how it turned out! I had a lot of fun wearing this costume for Day of Wrong at MDRF, and always have fun dressing up with friends 😊

I know you've been experimenting with different kinds of videos for a long while, but I'm glad to have a sewing video back in the mix. The way you film these is just so soothing.
I was just thinking the same thing. I missed the sewing content too
I feel the exact same way!
Same here!! I missed your relaxing and still informative videos. They're like comforting friends and great companions in the sewing room.
Definitely, I also love the creations. Like renfaire fantasy historical costumes but very high quality.
i love the mix of no talking sewing asmr and explaining what you're going to be doing, it really feels like we're keeping each other company in the sewing room especially as i watch while crocheting :D beautiful costume and video both!
The dress turned out amazing! The wings are indeed adorable. I think the lopsided-ness makes you seem like a sweet, approachable Renaissance dragon as opposed to a terrifying creature of yore. Lol thanks for the lovely video. 💖
I’m so happy to see a video of her making something. This is beautiful! It’s been so long
I saw your IG/story post of this dress forever ago and loved it! Had NO idea you made it yourself until just now!! Thank you for sharing your hard work and talent with all of us
i sat down with my dinner hoping to watch a new Minji video and was so happy to not only have a Minji video, but a sewing minji video! i always have fun watching these!!
I've missed your sewing/making videos! This look turned out to amazing. Thanks for sharing the process :)
Omg your sewing videos are the absolute best! We need more of them! (But take care of yourself and don’t burn yourself out 😊)
🚨FRAU MENTION!!🚨 haha ive been wondering about that project forever, good to know that my process of not touching a project for ages before getting back to it isn't a unique circumstance! Loved this project as well!!
Your costume came out beautiful! I especially love your wings and how they were moving in the group shot, the way they were able to bounce really showed off your excitement!
The asmr of your sewing videos are better than any other
I've been saving this video for when I has the time to watch it calmly and I'm so happy I did. What a stunning dress ❤. I love your sewing videos so much, please never stop making them!❤
This is absolutely gorgeous. Though I don't care for the wings fabric pattern being asymmetrical. That would drive me a little bit nuts. That said, this is pretty much perfection!
Aah yeah if id had more fabric left I would’ve made it symmetrical, but I was squeezing the pattern in wherever it would fit 😅
@@moth.faerie Makes total sense, I kinda figured that was the why towards the end of it. Either way it's a breathtaking gown!
I'm going to my first ren faire in april, the pleasure faire in irwindale! your videos keep me excited about it, and while I dont have anythingt -yet- for a themed outfit, i'm beyond excited collecting ides from your videos :D
That piping foot is really cool! Your costume is so lovely and magical!
Wow you literally made this so fast and the end result is SO CUTE
I stumbled upon your videos today and I'm absolutely loving them! I'm still an intermediate beginner when it comes to sewing, but your costumes are exactly the kind of projects I've been dreaming of creating. Also, that moth belt is gorgeous!
aw thank you for watching, I'm glad you like them! If you have any sewing questions please feel free to ask! or if you have any projects you're working on me dm me on insta i'd love to see them!❤️
Lovely dress. You might consider adding some red cotton or rayon lining fabric to the sides of your forepart to make it into a half underskirt... so if your tacking stitches come out again you end up showing what any renaissance princess would show.
I’ve been wanting to go to a ren fair for the longest time! My ren fair hasn’t started yet so maybe I can buy tickets…😗
Loved this! You did such a great job!
What a cute idea! I love the colors you chose.
Glad to see you’re back!
Absolutely gorgeous!
Yay for a sewing video 🎉
Very cool 😀
LOVE how this turned out!
Thank you for posting this! I've been in a sewing slump this year and should be con crunching right now. Watching this sewing video was the final bout of motivation I needed to get back to it. The costume looks amazing!

Gorgeous, stunningly so
Its soo cute 💙
your placket explanation/demo was so clear and effective, thank you so much!! this turned out beautifully as always, and glad to see sewing content alongside your travel and decorating adventures!!
i love following along with whatever interests you. your editing/filming really shines through with how much you enjoy what you're doing. even though i originally started following you for cosplay and sewing, it turns out that i just really like watching you create things and share your experiences.
(also watching you adjust/stroke the gathers on the skirt as you attached them was oddly very satisfying LOL love seeing another person who fusses w dense gathers like that)
BRAVO LOVE LOVE LOVE and the Wings are brilliant!
Love your sewing videos! The costume turned out absolutely gorgeous.
This video was so comforting and calming while I’m having a sad craft day. Thank you for brightening up my day ♥️

I love your sewing content! Also your luna moth belt is gorgeous!
Pretty amazing!!! You are brilliant!!!
Absolutely love the way you film and edit your sewing videos. 🐈⬛🐈
Omg this was absolutely stunning Minji! I loved watching the montage of you creating the dress. It was so serene and amazing to see it come to life. You’re so incredibly talented! The end result was chef’s kiss ❤
I absolutely love the purple lining! Subtle but so classy!!
So for the 'underskirt' I do a full underskirt but the unsean section is a basic cotton not the pretty (& expensive) fabric
didn’t make it to the day of wrong last season but it’s so wonderful that you also go to MDRF! it’s my local faire, and i love making stuff for it out of stash fabric
wow!! it all looks beautiful. I'm surprised how well the hot glue embellishments worked, they looked good
I know it's not ideal, but it's a lot faster and more accessible
You are so talented and radiant, you are one of my favorite youtubers 😍♥️🥰. Please tell me, if you could only buy one corset making book, which one would it be??
Love your ASMR xx
I would Love to tour your stash and hear what ideas you have for it.
This is beautiful, lovely job! Also your fall sweaters are adorable!!! Did you make them, or would you be willing to say where you got them?? If I could knit I would totally try to make something like that but I can't do more than a scarf at the moment 😭
Hey! Maryland fair is my fair too! Woohoo!
You're so pretty!!!
I love the videos you post! But I'm wondering where you found that shirt in the intro. It looks so medieval!
I liked and shared this video 📹 out your welcome Minji Lee great video 📹 😊❤
Thisiskachi has a sale on patterns at the moment so this video couldn't have come at a better time!
where did you get your grommet press? been needing one
🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡
✨❤🤩❤✨
What is the thing you use to do the metal rings for back and sleeves, and what rings (cant remember the name!) I tried with something else and it ruined my dress as it ripped or the rings didnt flatten properly
why do you want the nap of the velvet going up? is it purely based on aesthetic or does it wear better when it's used like that? 0.o?
Aesthetic. It makes the velvet look dark and rich in most lighting (overhead and/or natural lighting).
What pattern did you use for this?
your chemise... i want to know everything about it... pls
