Congratulations from Canada to the RAF on its 100th anniversary and to all its members, both serving and past. Great drill and fabulous to see all the squadron standards gathered together at one time. I am an air force brat. My father was an RCAF officer who served from 1934 to 1962. He was an original member of No. 10/110 Squadron (RCAF), now 400 Squadron. 400 Squadron was the first RCAF squadron to arrive in Britain in February 1940. A long shared history between the two air forces. Lest we forget.

That's the beginning of the trio of National Emblem March, probably the most famous American march not written by John Philip Sousa. The trombones really shine at that point.

The drill, bearing and smartness of the RAF Regiment is absolutely superb and shows the Guards Regiments just how to march ....... and that's a pity because years ago the Guards Regiments were also just as good.

A very pretty parade-- The English are outstanding at presenting pretty parades. I saw the fly past. The Few are reduced to three (3) first-line fighters -- F-35s purchased from The Colonials. Don't feel bad. Misery loves company. The Luftwaffe can only rouse four (4) fighters of any sort on a given day. None of their U-boats are ready for sea. Still, this was a very pretty parade. Gratitude for the vid. Sleep soundly.

When you consider that these are mostly technicians, suppliers, administrators, chefs and so on, I thought they were a real credit to the RAF. Even the aircrew looked smart. The parade commander did an excellent job.

Whoops! WO on wrong foot. Never mind, cracking job otherwise. I see skirts on ceremonial parades have returned. Are they wider than before, to be less restrictive when marching? Tightish skirts when marching look and feel ridiculous. To that extent trousers are better. But as a woman who is proud and happy to be one, and a retired crab who is proud and happy to be that, my preference would be a skirt properly designed to be fit for purpose. 👮‍♀️

He could have been 2 Sqn they have other Trades on the Sqn (chef, clerk, driver, Armourer, supplier etc) or he could have been Tac Supply Wing, Tac Comms Wing. I notice he has a Mountain Rescue Team badge too, previously there was a MRT based at RAF Stafford which is where TSW were based so it could be that.
