- Here's part 2 of the Mental Omega lore series! I was not thriving making this cuz I had to grapple with constant audio issues which I'm almost certain some of you will notice despite my attempts to fix them :( I'll try to be more mindful of the VO issues during recording next time. Anyway, let me know what you guys think. I'll be happy to take in feedback regarding the editing and the story. I do intend to make changes based on feedback when I eventually compile everything into a single video.
For those unaware, Mental Omega is a free unofficial expansion pack for Command & Conquer Red Alert 2 Yuri's Revenge, just recently reaching the 10th anniversary of its version 3.0 release.
You can download and play this campaign now from their official website: mentalomega.com/

- One man can make difference-
- Uhhm no... apparently 3 man:
Allied commander
Soviet General
Epsilon Proselyte
Volknet: hey you forgot me
@@canon07that's not man and not been around yet.
@@canon07 In this video, only the Second Great War - have just started... Those three guys involved from the start. But VOLKNET is an AI child that haven't even born yet. Foehn what? Nope, they haven't founded yet, not even Yunru is out of the China soil not yet until the freakin Mental Omega war... So, "most influential man" candidates on both wars will be only those. Sorry
@@canon07 He's not birth yet.
@@hidefreek6905 *born yet
After 20 years my childhood had finally been satisfied
For me, the mission where you assassinate Dugan went... a little differently. After killing Dugan, every Allied building was sold, and their troops all starting towards my meagre base. Since I'd bumrushed the Alamo, I had basically no units, and was completely unprepared. The only thing I had was a Stallion helicopter, and Morales. I managed to park Morales up on the overpass to the north, at which point every allied unit beelined for him. Over the course of ten minutes, and with lots of baiting and running, Morales managed to singlehandedly massacre every single Allied unit in the city, including tanks, humvees, SEALs, and hordes of infantry. The man is a hero and, canonically, one of the DC Beltway Snipers.
I will never not love that border scene "yes we have few troops on the border and this is the weakest spot"
"sir we seem to have defensive walls and a dug in company of men and vehicles"
No shot, the memes and the yee yee ass photoshop skits (especially that one psicorp agent casually stealing the vehicle) caught me cackling
Please keep this up, would definitely love to see more
Man your editing and storytelling skills are impeccable, really love the AI yuri and Eva voices you use! Can't wait for MOre
++
True.. its amazing, can't wait to watch more until the end of the mental omega
Wish MO get those AI voice overs.
@@ZMi00 i think it can be possible just update the mod
@@markzosemsuello4016 Hell yeah, that would be great reason to return to MO once more and replay story again. But i dont rly see any updates on game at all.
Would never touch Mental Omega cause my brain cannot handle the micromanagement, but the gameplay seems so intuitive and interesting, and your naration of the story proves the plot has such quality too, so thanks for this!
its very intimidating at first, but once it clicks its actually easier than starcraft. at least for me
@@thefool8224agreed with what you said. At first I got confused because it is different from the vanilla game but once I got familiar with its gameplay, it's easier to play it. It is true that the campaign is draining but I love challenges so I managed to finish it twice.
Casual difficulty isn't really any more difficult than the base game. Some missions, especially in Soviet campaign, are really long and exhausting tho
@@thefool8224 true!
there is no shame in playing an RTS on easy if you just want to see the story
This really is a gift. Mental Omega story is truly some of the greatest fiction written by the mod makers.
Splendid work. Will eagerly await more of that.
Somewhere in the distance is Tim Curry saying: "Another great video Commander."
This video is so good
Even Speeder himself shared with us
The meme usage is spot-on, the lore is deeply explored and the production level very well done. Hope you continue the series, I'm anxiously waiting for more.
This story telling of Mental Omega seems interesting, very accurate, all missions connected with the campaigns we play in the game. Like it's telling us of what's to come from the events of the missions we play.
Finished watching the video and damn! Great stuff! Just wanted to say, your videos are very well made, and I want to thank you for covering such a niche topic of a mod I adore and played for years. Keep up the good work, you're awesome!
Thank you so much for the support
Woow, finally Mental Omega`s plot will be explained to me.
Thanks man:) brilliant video
Keep up the videos man. I'm invested. My 4 year Mental Omega addiction must be satiated brother.
Now missions playthrough, wuss!
I couldn't get through them but I believe in your skill and dedication!
I'll take my time getting to that part lmaooo
Thanks for continuing the series! Your storytelling & editing skills works so well together. The way you blend the story with memes made an enjoyable watch. Keep up the great work!
Thank you so much for the support!
This video and the Pt1 made me appreciate Mental Omega more, keep the good work we love your videos
I have longed for someone to talk about this beautiful passion project, thank you for delivering
As a guy who know the story i find this videos very entertaining and high quality
6:50 Wait a minute, Thrax? Is that You?
This video is soo good, needed more because the Mental Omega lore is way deeper than we thought.
This series and the interspersed memes are fantastic. Looking forward to more ❤
Outstanding work, man. I feel like these videos will really help those confused/lost on the lore, cause of how ambitious it is for an interconnected campaign of this scale.
Keep up the great work.
Man I love this so much, I've been searching this type of video that explain about MO lore.
Your presentation and editing is so well done (+ memes).
Good job and keep it up! 💪 🔥
I like how I subbed to you like a couple of mins ago because I found your part 1 of this series, lo and behold, part 2 came right after.
Looking forward to some more
Your editing and using maps in the same style as the campaign loading screens is fantastic. Thanks for covering such a niche but dear topic to us fans. Subscribed just for the quality of editing!
It's so fun to watch please continue!
Amazing work , i was waiting for a youtuber to make a story of this legendary gane , i was thinking to do so , but i my english and editing are weak 😅,
Anyway thank you fir making this story and we are waiting fir more❤
Keep up the amazing work on this series.
Thank you for the support!
Thank you for this series, I know about MO ending but barely know it's full story.
Isn't the mod already virtually finished?
i hope you will cover whole story man, i loved your style, good job☺
Didn't expect MO to be your next-on-the-list, that's nice. Will be looking forward to seeing more of this series from you since i have such mixed feelings about this mod.
this is a work of love, thanks
I love the combination of both serious lore but also tongue-in-cheek editing jokes.
Finally. I can experiance the story of MO without having to play it myself. I'm poor at command and conquer and I'm grateful to you for making these videos.
This is amazing! Loving what you're doing.
I can finally understand MO lore
awesome work. really looking forward to more of this story. great story telling
Keep the series going
This is really good. Wish I could play the mod myself. But the last time I tried I just couldn't handle it..
they made the game a lot more casual friendly on easier difficulties over time. might wanna give it another shot
I've got to replay mental omega, but I'm hopping there's an act 3 in development.
Cool work can’t wait for pt.3
I love that there are documentary-style videos explaining the history of one of my favorite games.
If you could, please add subtitles to better understand the translation into other languages. I am a Spanish speaker and I like that there are more people talking about "Mental Omega"
Instant like from me mate. Superb work on this series! Can't wait for the next episode!
Great job man, your videos are fantastic, thats another experience play MO but now in chronological order with your videos.
-¡En movimiento!
It would be funny if you try to do a mental omega campaign no unit death challenge
Great job❤❤
But i wished you added subtitles
Keep up the good work🎉
This is sooo good!
Great work on the video, mate!
I know what I’m watching tonight. Looking forward to this.
I'm liking this, and we haven't even left Act 1 yet, also aren't the Coop Missions part of the Storyline?
Yep, since he included Needlehead (Soviet Co-Op 1, set in Seattle) and Low Rider (Allied Co-Op 1, set in Los Angeles) here.
I love the video and i also liked part 1 alot, keep up the great work! 👍👍, i've been playing mental omega for years and i love the lore video's. :)
This is Gold. Dont stop making these lore videos. Its just gold. Its so good.
I love your videos style, keep up the good work!
This is an amazing work!
Havent realized any kind of audio issiuse tbh, this means you did a good job :D
I love the video how the hell did you voice yuri its so good
Probably one of those text to speech programs. The same sort used to make those voice meme videos, like of the 3 US presidents playing and doing tier lists.
It's the Mental Loremega
Man. Such a great video!
Oh wow it feels like forever since the last one, let’s gooooo!
Bloody awesome
Amazing work! Please make moar!
2:20 lol, that's supicious
13:44 what mission is that on the background? the one that use simmilar Foehn: 6 Remnant map, but filled with all new foehn base
Great stuff! We need more!
Edit: how the hell did i miss part 1? Gonna watch it right now.
Love this
Meanwhlie people still at point hope:
Did you create all these custom-scenarios yourself for story-telling?
If so, nice work, very well done.
This is great so far ❤
It's good, but short😢
Bro I need more😔
Yes I like this
The death of Dugan marked this game as "Different" from the timeline
Such an amazing job all round with these videos
New episode new episode new episode
More! More!!
0:38 Hmm, now that bit reminds me of the lyrics of Act On Instinct.
Interesting
4:30 Hey, this sounds familiar... 🌍💥
Mentalmeisters team wouldn't have predicted that when releasing MO v3.0 Beta in 2013...
I always liked the MO campaign yet it's HARD and the story telling by briefings ingame is somehow anti-climactic
BUT THIS 🔥 THIS IS JUST PERFECT
is there a thread where you got all the lore from? i really like what you're doing with this series!
In Red Alert 2 they show when we introduce to Lt EVA as we see silos across the nation go up likely the most powerful warheads there or couldn't get or one of several taken out in the start I assume
I thought all ASEAN country was part of Pasific Front.
Japan Korea Vietnam etc
@@Morgomir09 But Pasific Front only have Japan, South Korea, Philippines, Indonesia, Australia and New Zealand.
wait Dougan is dead? I thought he got mind controlled at the Alamo ?!
In the original RA 2 campaign, yeah that happened, but his fate was changed for this mod.
@@istkisaragi4096 oh , OK, I thought the mod simply blended both campaigns into one , guess I was wrong
how did you get yuri to play into your content? aren't you afraid his mind control over you
Really love ure videos
YT!!! How did I not get a notification on this masterpiece?
Okay YT I am coming for you
Oh, wow, so fast new part
Моралес отличный снайпер)
The Soviet invasion in this worldline scarily didn't hold back compared to the vanilla RA2 timeline. Oh, if only this universe got the Yuri's Revenge Allied campaign treatment.
Interesting, really, that the American/Allied prodigy is now fighting on Washington D.C., while the Soviet genius is on New York. Far cry from the original worldline, this pattern.
2:21: This ain't the C&C of your childhood, said the game mod.
The Yuri angle of "Golden Gate" really should be part of Westwood canon. After all, it nicely explains the San Francisco Psychic Dominator in RA2: YR.
Sure is a harsh lesson to me and others, seeing the Allies in MO be more divided than necessary.
5:20: "Rhino rushing" is now unwise, said the game mod.
Pronouncing Rashidi is something close to a more rougher "Rah-shee-dee", by the way. Also", Stinger has a softer "g", and the very first USA Generals mission would help that.
Here's an extra tidbit: Apparently, the Stormchildren were supposed to be sent all around the States so to relieve other military forces. Unfortunately, these efforts were curbed because of the events of "Road Trippin'" (Allied 3), which explains why they weren't that involved in "Needlehead" (Soviet Co-Op 1) and "Shipwrecked" (Epsilon 4).
11:25: Even if it meant killing off Hollywood actors that somehow got tempted by the Red Menace. Again, a far cry from the memorable Yuri's Revenge Allied mission "Hollywood and Vain".
Another tidbit: It's implied that "Heaven and Hell" (Allied 4) happened almost simultaneously with the aforementioned "Shipwrecked", thus proving most of the Americans' heroic actions moot, since the Bahamas fleet was supposed to link up with the Florida naval forces.
13:00: Normally, Morales should be fully promoted enough to fire white phosphorus rounds that'll also take out the Secret Service guards.
Pleaseeeee NEXTTT PART. 3
LEEEET'S GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Moarrrr
part 3!!
Bro, how'd it take 2 months for me to see this video. 😂
part 2 ! awesome
Best lore
0:38 I see what they did there 😉
