Bobby Fischer KO's Benko with the Sozin Attack

- Featured here is an excellent chess game between Bobby Fischer and Pal Benko from the 1959 Candidates Tournament. Fischer plays the Sozin Attack, and Benko responds with 6...Qb6, the Anti-Fischer-Sozin variation. After Fischer creates a pawn duo with f4, many kingside attacking ideas become available to him.

Rook d1 is so hard to play in this position and calculate all variations. Such a nice, calm move. This is why Fisher is the best ever. So nice, so simple, every move with the purpose.... Excellent game and lesson for us mortals.. ;-)
I can't relate to the people who fall asleep to these videos I'm always too busy enjoying them and taking a thing or two away

In the game, 19. Nh5 was played. But why couldn't Fischer go for 19. Nf5 again, to freeze the f6 pawn, just as you showed in the other variation?
The queen from h6 doesn’t guard against the eventual Bf5 defense.
Bobby had a great tournament that he didn’t win. He would have to wait 13 more years before he would win the world chip.
