Back in 2011, when my daughter was 2 weeks old I called my mom, who lives an hour away, to tell her Gracie had just rolled over for the first time. Of course, my mom thought I had lost my noodle so I took a video of my little girl doing her thing. Because of my moms lack of technology, I had to upload the video to CZcams and sent her the link for her to watch (that's how I did things before the Portal was invented).
Fast forward years later to January of 2019, when I get an alert on my iPad that someone had commented on a video. Too much of my surprise, this long forgotten about gem had racked up over 100,000 views and lots of comments in the last few months.
Not quite sure how this happened, but just know, this video was intended to prove to my mother that I hadn't lost it, seven short years ago! Enjoy! - Zábava
From back to front is usually later on. Front to back is a lot easier because they can push with their feet and hands. Gracie was a persistent little trooper!

So cute 🥰 Brings back memories of my youngest. I was shocked when she rolled over at only a few weeks, I wasn't shocked when she was crawling at 24 weeks though. 11yrs later she still hasn't stopped moving. Lol.
Yes. You ALL had better watch your babies on beds and couches. My grandson rolled at like 3 days old.
I don’t know why I was sitting there looking at him and had to use the bathroom. I said to his momma ,”He is going to roll over. Watch him”. And he DID!!!!!!
So true! The reason I posted this video though, is because my mom thought I was making up stories about how my newborn was already rolling over!! 😳
Yup, I fell off a bed as a baby when my aunt was babysitting me because she didn't think I could roll over yet. Never leave them unattended on such surfaces just because you think they are too young to do it. My own son was able to roll to his side at least from the first day he was born and can wiggle himself quite a distance.
She is determine and at a struggle....aww she made it. WOW at 2 weeks old. Bless this Angel. Cute as a button

Exactly. The baby can get hurt..... Tummy time, baby get hurt time
They’re not even doing tummy time (read the description & pay attention), just a baby rolling over. Also, she rolled off a 2 inch pillow, not off of the couch, with someone literally sitting right there next to her, in addition to the person filming it. Furthermore, tummy time (which this is not) actually makes their muscles stronger. They develop more stability, control, coordination & understanding of how to use their bodies/muscles in relation to the world they are just beginning to explore & interact with. She’d be less likely to get hurt since she’s been exercising rather than just lying around being floppy…if this video was about tummy time, which it is not…

It's seems most newborns can do this early if they are on a chair or couch, where they can use the cushion underneath or beside them to their advantage somewhat. I haven't seen much success when the baby is placed on the flat floor, it seems to make it a little more difficult for them. I'm not discounting this in the least, it's an amazing accomplishment a 2 wk old baby to say the least!! It was just an observation that I wondered if anyone else noticed??💟💟
I've noticed it as well. I think it's ok, gives them relief when they roll over, which is good, in my opinion. Also you can see in 2 month old babies the look of being proud when they accomplish something.
