(Tafsir Ibn Kathir (Abridged), Volume 8, Surat Al-Ahzab, Verse 51 to the end of Surat Ad-Dukhan, abridged under a group of scholars under the supervision of Shaykh Safiur Rahman Al-Mubarakpuri
"Sham’un" refers to Simon Peter, "Yuhanna" to the apostle John, and Bulus is Arabic for Paul. This source therefore affirms that the apostle Paul was one of the Messengers sent by God!
Al-Suyuti, another renowned exegete, concurs with the Salaf that the three messengers mentioned in S. 36:13-29 were Peter, John and Paul.
If you read Acts 11 and 13 you will also see that Paul did actually visit Antioch, further giving support to him being that third Messenger.

First of all, the scholars of exegeses aren't even sure which city the chapter refers to, and what timeframe the event took place. It's up for debate.
Second, the Quran used the word mursalun, the plural of rasul, which means messenger. The term messenger is only used for Prophets who were given a Message (Revelation) by the Angel of Revelation, Jibrail to teach their people. So that excludes ordinary people and prophets.
The problem with some of the scholars of exegesis like Ibn Kathir is that they take their sources from the Israill'yat (Jewish and Christian traditions) to try and piece together a narrative, instead of just ignoring it as irrelevant detail like the Quran advises.
Imagine that, you have to take someone's speculation on vague things which is still up for debate to "prove" that Paul was mentioned. Lmao.
And just like the Quran says, you follow nothing but conjecture.

Muslims follow Muhammad not god. You can’t even become Muslim without mentioning Muhammad.
There is nothing wrong with Paul. He is just a believer and a follower of Jesus. He is just like a Pastor or a Priest.
In fact, Paul said, Through Him we live "(1 Corinthians 8 :6).
So according to Paul, without Jesus we don't exist including Paul himself and Muhammad. We are nothing without Jesus according to Paul. This is why Paul said, Always giving thanks to God the Father for everything IN THE NAME OF JESUS (Ephesians 5 :20). Because Through Him all things were made. Without Him nothing was made that has been made (John 1:3).
And Paul believed the death and resurrection of our LORD Jesus Christ. And Paul believed that Jesus is Lord (Romans 10 :9).
It was Muhammad who rejected and contradicted the teaching of Jesus, not Paul. Because Muhammad also believed that Jesus is the Messiah but in the OPPOSITE way. This is why Jesus said, be careful. Because there are many people who come using His name to deceive many (read Matthew 24:4-5).

@@nasirimani5058 But this is my issue, and I am not Christian. Wouldnt both be correct because before Jesus dies, the law of moses in the OT remained in force. So even when Jesus was alive, this was the case. But when Jesus DOES die, this is when the Law of moses is now NOT enforced. So before Jesus dies, not all food is clean. There are unclean foods. BUT when Jesus does die, the Law of Moses is now not enforced which now makes those unclean foods in the OT, clean. This is just an argument that I researched. So now im wondering if this is correct.
