  • As requested by a number of people, it is time to finally upload a show that deserves some love! Back in 2009, the first half of this show was shared on Queenzone. In May 2010, I was requested by a subscriber (Sephiroth34567890) to upload the show. This past week, everybody got a surprise when the user who originally shared the first half of the show made an appearance. He then posted the second half of the show - and the results were crazy. The performances were so unique, crazy, unexpected, and great - that Queenzone comments flooded the Sun City threads! Let's just say that this show threw everybody for a loop!
Coming from a soundboard source, the quality is excellent and is more complete than before. It's unknown how much is missing from this recording, but the majority of the show is available for the first time! This particular recording was remastered by Pittrek, and many thanks are given to the user who shared this show (City-In-The-Sun)!
The band are on fire at this show - giving all they've got on the songs. Freddie in particular is having a great night at the office - singing some of his best performances on the tour! He is also extremely gutsy throughout the show - delivering songs in ways that are completely at odds with the tour's overall vocal perception. Some performances from this show have been compared with other strong gigs from the Works Tour (1st Brussels, Stuttgart, Tokyo), the Magic Tour, and even gigs from Freddie's prime live stage (Crazy Tour through to the European Hot Space Tour). This shows how good this show is. Now… time to explain these performances...
"Tear It Up" is one of the better 1984 versions as the vocals are pretty solid (and daring) overall, "Tie Your Mother Down" is a noticeable improvement over a number of versions from the tour as the vocal delivery is better, "Under Pressure" is a good version overall with Freddie embellishing in spots (plus actually sustaining the A4 on the "why" part), "Somebody To Love" is pretty decent overall - but there are better versions from other gigs, "Killer Queen" has one of the best vocal deliveries from the tour as Freddie's tone is good and he sings album phrasing on "perfume came naturally from Paris" (it's not often he does that). The only major flaw is a bum guitar chord before the guitar solo. "Seven Seas Of Rhye" is the best 1980s version as Freddie nails the high notes cleanly and remembers the words, "Keep Yourself Alive" sounds awesome with Freddie singing very creatively in spots, "Liar" has good tone and a nice high note sustain at the end, "It's A Hard Life" has some rough spots - but it's not too bad overall, "Dragon Attack" is one of the best on the tour as the vocals are strong and the improv section is top notch, and "Now I'm Here" is superb overall with all four band members delivering a top notch performance!
"Is This The World We Created" has Freddie displaying his soft tone well with a soothing delivery of the song, "Love Of My Life" is cut - but what we have is great, "Another One Bites The Dust" is one of the biggest shocks as it's actually a good version on the tour! The vocals are very strong overall (the highlight being Freddie nailing "standing on my own two feet" like the record) with the improv section being great. "Hammer To Fall" is one of the most unexpected and shocking performances as Freddie sings most of the song cleanly then proceeds to nail album phrasing in the bridge section. He then sings high falsetto lines on the line "through your window pane." This version has been acclaimed as not only being one of the best versions ever - but has been compared with the Live Aid version (never thought I'd see the day that version gets challenged). "Crazy Little Thing Called Love" is one of the best on the tour as the vocals are creative and the jam is top notch, "Bohemian Rhapsody" is another stunning and unpredictably awesome version as Freddie sings album phrasing in both verses (although the first verse has some slight intonation issues at the beginning, the second verse is perhaps the definitive delivery of that part). His tone is also very good (sounding closer to early 80s Freddie). Who would've thought Freddie would sing "Bohemian Rhapsody" like that in the Works Tour (of all tours)! "Radio Ga Ga" has pretty good vocals overall, but Brian completely misses the slide guitar solo (never fear - as the mustached legend sings the final parts of the solo with his falsetto), "I Want To Break Free" is one of the better versions live as Freddie's vocals are mostly on the money, "Jailhouse Rock" is a great version overall, "We Will Rock You" is a solid version, and "We Are The Champions" has Freddie nailing the first verse and pre-chorus with authority (great power and sustain), and the first chorus has phrasing that sounds similar to the prime live era. This version also has Freddie embellishing on "no pleasure cruise" and in the final chorus!
    ENJOY!!!
Note: The Impromptu is absolutely amazing!

Never having a chance to watch Freddie performing live, so greatly appreciated this live recording. Just love to hear his voice and singing. Besides, he did a good job with this song overall.

He actually tries the "Ooh yeah" album phrasing in the first verse! It sounds kind of rough, but at least he tries!

This has the boring Baritone intro along with some really bad sounding falsetto.
The C5 is nice I guess.
