- Death, taxes and Colorado Avalanche fans wishing Sidney Crosby will come to Colorado.
While he hasn't officially signed it yet, it sounds like Crosby will be signing an extension with the Pittsburgh Penguins on a 3 year deal. Which could possibly be his last contract as an NHLer. But will the talk of him some day coming to the Avs end? Not likely.

The NFL switched to the coaches in team gear in order to try and boost merch sales, that's why they get fined if they wear a suit. Having been around college and pro hockey for many years, the players (for the most part) enjoy dressing up to go to the games. There is a popular saying in hockey, "look good, feel good, play good" and they mean it in that order.
Honestly, Byram was trade bait as soon as Toews signed that 7 year extension.
favorite memorabilia, i have almost a dozen team issued/game worn jerseys one of which is the Francouz reverse retro with the CO state flag logo.

I like the coaches suits. They look classy. They aren't uncomfortable to them if they've worn them for their whole career, plus if it is appropriately fit. The classy suits is what makes the NHL players and coaches "better" than other sports.

I know you guys just "love" the Flyers, but their coach (and others behind the bench) wore a Flyers pullover in lieu of a Suit most of last season, I thought it looked much more normal behnd the bench than a suit, the suits should be the guys up in the box. (BTW...I grew up watching the Flyers win Two Stanley Cups in a row, but now that I live here in Colorado I follow and root for the Avalanche (ulnless they are playing the Flyers).
I just wish people would drop the Crosby talk. I say be careful what you ask for...
I really liked how coaches came out in their suits and looked clean and in command. Now it just looks like practice and sloppy. I hope NHL never switches.
And to guve a coach a fine just shows how greedy the NFL is. Seriously, they need more advertising 🙄...
I love that in the evolution of sports we have 2 women who have broken the ceiling in mens sports.. but i do hope the NHL gives her the proper acknowledgement outside of hockey that thos deserves. Of course its NEVER enough for me to swtich to the Kraken😉😉😆😆

When it comes to Crosby id rather have him stay in Pittsburgh for his fans and his team. And unless Pittsburgh kicks him out because they aren't thinking straight then why would they separate. Now obviously my opinion doesn't matter but id be a bit sad to see Mackinnon,makar and Co. go somewhere else. But thats just me.
I want to see Sid retire with the Pens and go into their front office in the tradition of Franchise Players. How could we possibly afford him even if they were willing to give him up? It's weird that this is even a serious conversation lol.
My favorite piece of memorabilia is not particularly unique but it is a funny story. I work with a guy who doesn't like sports, at all. One day he's in my office and he sees my Hedjuk retirement game jersey banner on the wall, and says "I have one of those someone gave me a long time ago. Want it?"
Me: "Sure... who is it?"
Him: "I dunno. Number 12?"
Me: 🤔
Next day he comes in and he's unwrapping it from the original plastic and says, "Oh, I got the numbers reversed. It's 21."
Me: "Yes I will take that off your hands kind sir."
It had been folded in quarters for like 8 years, and it took me an entire evening of carefully ironing between damp towels to get it mostly flattened out, but it hangs in my office now and that's how I have a Forsberg retirement-night jersey banner. 😁
If everyone really wanted it to happen it could. Would have to be a 3 team deal so 75% of his salary is retained by the Pens plus another team. So could it happen? Sure. Will it? I'll never say zero percent, but it's pretty close to it
