Elementor is ok for the websites when you need to develop it fast. But it hurts your page-speed. Our agency recommend to develop it with Gutenberg page builder.

I'm reworking pages now to see if it's a problem I've created myself, or an issue with Elementor and high content (very long) pages. On "normal" pages, it all works perfectly, but it does kind of sway me back towards hard-coding, and leaving Wordpress.
I have to tell you... I looked over your video because it was so long. After watching three, one and a half hour videos, I wish I would have watched this one first! You absolutely thought of every single thing that could go wrong, happen, need to be changed or added... Everything! Kudos to you for this absolutely great WordPress tutorial. Great video, it should be paid. It is not my 1st website but was looking for a different theme tutorial, just completed a new client website 🙂and it looks amazing. NB: just one thing I had to do differently to make it work. On the footer settings, in order to have vertical look of menu's on tablet and mobile, I had to set the middle row to 5 columns, otherwise set at 4 it would still present the menus horizontally. Not sure why (items direction "horizontal/vertical" only shows up for social media but for the other menu there is no such option, but by setting middle row to 5 did the trick)🙂 Keep it up man! You keep asking how to perhaps improve your tutorial: one suggestion of mine would be to tell people to prepare photographs (and in which size and format) and text in advance, so they are ready and can be uploaded right away when they go through the tutorial. Thanks again for your tremendous help.
Ferdy, your approach is fantastic, and this video is excellent as you have gone into a lot of detail on things such as padding, margins and also how the different options look using a duplicated container etc. For me This is very useful as often when you click on different components and then edit the component, container, etc there are loads of options and it is great to be able to understand the finer information. I would love to know to know about your layout/structure philosophy. Like why you structure a page the way you do, why you might give priority to one container over another and place the sections/containers the way you do. Is there anywhere to learn your thoughts on this? I did it :) I fixed it myself. In customize I dragged and dropped the word logo from the sidebar to the center of my home page where it said menu 1 at the end of the row, and it worked. I could then upload my logo into the page header.

Ferdy, it is a great course, congrats. However, I have a suggestion: maybe breaking up the 51/2-hour presentation into 3 or 4 parts, finishing each part with a short summary of the part and start the next part again repeating the same short summary as to what was learnt in the previous part. I find that when I start losing attention after an hour or two, starting the next time from that point is making it difficult to remember exactly what was said in the earlier session. I just thought making it more structured would help with the continuity if a person wanted to listen to the presentation by parts separated by time. You still can have the parts as one video but the person listening to the video can have some structured breakpoints.

On the footer settings, in order to have vertical look of menu's on tablet and mobile, I had to set the middle row to 5 columns, otherwise set at 4 it would still present the menus horizontally. Not sure why (items direction "horizontal/vertical" only shows up for social media but for the other menu there is no such option, but by setting middle row to 5 did the trick)🙂

You keep asking how to perhaps improve your tutorial: one suggestion of mine would be to tell people to prepare photographs (and in which size and format) and text in advance, so they are ready and can be uploaded right away when they go through the tutorial. Ferdy, your approach is fantastic, and this video is excellent as you have gone into a lot of detail on things such as padding, margins and also how the different options look using a duplicated container etc. For me This is very useful as often when you click on different components and then edit the component, container, etc there are loads of options and it is great to be able to understand the finer information. I would love to know to know about your layout/structure philosophy. Like why you structure a page the way you do, why you might give priority to one container over another and place the sections/containers the way you do. I did it :) I fixed it myself. In customize I dragged and dropped the word logo from the sidebar to the center of my home page where it said menu 1 at the end of the row, and it worked. I could then upload my logo into the page header.

None of the edits i have done on the home page is showing on the main website but the about page edits are showing on the website. What do I do please?

Ferdy, it is a great course, congrats. However, I have a suggestion: maybe breaking up the 51/2-hour presentation into 3 or 4 parts, finishing each part with a short summary of the part and start the next part again repeating the same short summary as to what was learnt in the previous part. I find that when I start losing attention after an hour or two, starting the next time from that point is making it difficult to remember exactly what was said in the earlier session. I just thought making it more structured would help with the continuity if a person wanted to listen to the presentation by parts separated by time. You still can have the parts as one video but the person listening to the video can have some structured breakpoints.
