You fuss about taking time to choose colors. Seeing how you go about choosing and the reasoning behind it is the strength of your coloring sessions. So many colorists just have colors already chosen and proceed to the coloring on line. I can’t learn as much from them. Keep doing what you are doing.

My mum is 70 this year and has never been on a plane either. Its amazing you’ll love flying. When you look out the window you’ll see (what I call) a big marshmallow land haha (all the clouds) and the world looks like a model village - there’s nothing quite like it. ❤❤❤

Hello Lucy - Really don’t mind the long videos as if I don’t currently have the time at when I’m watching, I shut down and come back to continue watching. What I really appreciate is how you will complete a section - go off camera and come back with all similar colouring back completed. (I.e. the bark/mushrooms/grass … in this case)

I have to pay close attention to what I'm doing when I use polychromos because you have to color in light layers with them. I'm so glad that you are enjoying the black edition pencils! My birthday is in a couple of weeks so maybe I will ask for a set of them! 😉 😊

I don’t know why but the 100 set is not easy to come by here and mine is coming from Brazil, takes 2-3wks to get it.

Another great vid. Got the 50 set and then tho and behold they went and brought out the bigger set, but they are nice. Yep even a 72 set of those that must not be named cost about £84 as of today. Thank you for doing this series on colouring with budget pencils. I will try to follow along with my black widows. cheers.

I really like your videos I do find myself skipping through to see results sometimes but that probably on me as I don’t have lots of free time to watch CZcams it’s more or less 10- 20 minutes here or there you might also benefit from some speed colouring videos.

I’d made some of those stencils 1:39:33 myself with my Scanncut and the hard plastic from the bottom of shopping bags 😂 ‘cos… free ….obviously for inking, never thought to use it with my coloured pencils and marker as well! Colour me amazed, loved that technique!
O Lucy hope your throat is better for your sons wedding Iv had it 3 weeks so far.xx I had a set of these pencils I’m going to look see if I still have them as I donated some sets I wasn’t using. They are lovely pencils that have worked so well on that paper. Blended so well to.beautiful picture Lucy.xx

I stopped your video part way through because I wanted to order the pencils. Amazon have got the 100 with 20% discount making it £39.13 (date today is 9 July) . Also the skin tone set of 12 colours for £10.95 contains different colours from the 100 set so that’s giving a total choice of colours of 112 for £50.98. Plus there is another 12 set of pastel and neon colours which would make the set 124. Amazon told me I had bought that set but I don’t remember it! My art supplies are in a dreadful mess at the moment so it isn’t surprising I don’t know what I’ve got! Now I see how good a page from the book is I’m ordering that too as although I sent it to you because I know you like his books I wasn’t sure I would like that one. Now I have seen how cute he is I want to follow along! It’s actually good therapy for me as I am going through a very unhappy time and it’s good to have something else to think about. So thank you for your video Lucy. I haven’t flicked forward to see how the whole picture comes together, I want to see it gradually come to life when I get my supplies.
You said utube want people to finish watching videos. I often split them up because I find it difficult to concentrate for too long. Do they know that although I stopped watching I saw it to the end eventually? I hope so.

The page turned out so lovely, don't have the book but I'm sure some of it will be applicable to other pictures. Love the idea of budget pencils, although you already said my favs the Brutfuners aren't your cup of tea but I do have a few others ;)

Lucy, as usual, this page is beautiful! Congratulations on your son’s upcoming wedding! I pray that you will be in good health and that you enjoy the event. My daughter is getting married in October, so I know what an exciting time this is. I have the 50 set of these pencils and the skin set and the pastel and neon ones are on the way. Unfortunately, the 50 set does not have any numbers at all. I think I will be able to get an idea of the colors to use by looking at the video, but I hope to eventually have the 100 set with the numbers. It is not currently available in the US. If I am able to pull the page off, I will be sure and tag you. ❤🤗

Lucy this video is very interesting I was just thinking I would like you if possible to colour with these pencils in a Johanna basford book and you mentioned it it would be nice to see if there is a difference. There are some lovely books on Amazon paper but I just don’t like colouring on it. All the best for the wedding have a lovely time.

It's similar for Polychromos fans, here in America. Open stock is nearly $3 per pencil. I want to cry, when I have to sharpen them. I've really gotten to where I hate Prismacolor Premier pencils, mostly because of smearing on the smooth papers "premium," popular artists like Basford and Rosanes use. For me, the worst paper is in Lulu Mayo's books. I hate that stuff. In all honesty, I prefer "Amazon paper.". I've developed my own ways of dealing with it. It's really not as bad as all the whining makes it out to be.
I bought these pencils to use in the Amazon books with black toner backgrounds. After one experiment, I was a little under whelmed. I think it's because the paper is a few shades away from true black. I wonder if using an inexpensive black alcohol marker on the page before coloring with the pencils would improve the pencils use on the Amazon paper for background effects?

in the netherlands and germany you can get fb black edition open stock ,they go for 50 euro cent per pencil but they only have the 36 set open stock

Just read that Kalour, , Shuttle Art, Brutfuner and Soucolor are made in the same factory and rebranded under different names. So I guess if you’ve used one you’ve used the others . 🤣🙃
Did you do a background on the outside? Why do you think that’s a beach in the back,where the trees are?
I just made it up. Its a while ago now but probably just thought it would break up the colours and add some interest
I bought this book thinking it was pocket-sized for some reason 🤔.
Sadly this set is $100 here in the US and the amazon basics set is $28 here in the US. If you need help and getting the pencils which shall not be named in this video let's find out what it would cost to purchase them here in the United States and then ship them to you. If that is cheaper for you to do I would be happy to help you by purchasing them for you and sending them sadly I cannot afford to do this as a gift but I would be happy to help you.
