If I were rich and not so crippled up, Id take you as soon as we found where Amira is performing and tickeets could be obtained. I fell in love with sweet Amira first time I saw her on BGT at 9 years old.
Great reaction! Yeah. No classical singer can achieve Amira's natural expressiveness. Amira has no need for mouth acting, no exaggerated gestures, no artificial emotive voice. Because she has a high power of focus, concentration, deep inner dive, and also because she sincerely believes in what she sings, Amira can fully express the emotion of the lyrics and music in a way that touches everyone's soul. And, yes, for all her attributes, she is a serious candidate to evolve into the greatest soprano of all time.
All of that is what's called belcanto.

Having read all I've been able to about her personal background, I know she feels and believes every word she is singing! And so do I! This performance was part of her 18th birthday celebration a few weeks ago in March.
Great comment you have giving! You said about her, where is the limit. How many male and female opera singers from the past till now, has growing in 9 years( from HGT till now she's 18 ) so fast as Amira do as an Opera singer? As she was the best Soprano in the World at 15th of age? If I'm not wrong, No one! The limit for her is, when she can't sing anymore. But i tell you this, Amira will become the Best Soprano of All Time!
There is an aura about Amira's performances since she first performed that audition for HGT aged 9. It was there then and has not diminished since and holds an audience to her voice and presence on stage. To describe it in trite language... it's the whole package that is Amira - the person the performer the voice and the stage presence. It's gold.
There are no words equilavent to her talent and absolutely incredible voice! I am not an opera fan but when it's Amira I break out in tears. Hearing her in person would probably bring me to my knees. I can't explain how she does this to me but I thank God for her lovely voice! Bless you, Amira. And Thank you!

Highly combustible--thanks for your great reaction. It is just so awesome seeing how she genuinely moves you--just as she does me. I can't watch/listen to Amira without tears--she has such depth in her singing and in her inner self--such calmness of spirit and assurance--that it radiates out in tremendous waves just like her voice. I, like you, MUST get to one of her performances and see it in person. She is taking a year for a world tour after graduating from school. I just hope she comes to the US to a location near me!!!

Amira has amazing control, tone, range, and quality. She had all this at nine years old and nothing is forced. Her voice keeps ringing in the ears long after the song is over. I have heard some voice coaches not very accepting of her talent at this age afraid that her voice will give out early. Some other opera amateur aficionados denigrate her for not having the experience of a Callas or Sissle so they do not consider her in the same class. But I just have to say that to be able to sing arias with the best of them without effort is a great achievement. I hope she sticks with classical music and POPera, I do not want her to become the fat lady that sings at the end of an opera. The opera elite do not deserve her.

Also you should keep a check on Amira Willighagen Official for next year when she is going to be doing a world tour including the USA. If it included a concert anywhere near you you should definitely try to go. You would be wowed.

@@cmlarose50 Well, she could do it piecemeal.. her church connections may be a great help as in Norway. That would be a nice way for her to mix any guest appearances on larger stage shows, tv or radio interviews with church and more local performances.
Only my guessing but it would allow her to avoid the big cost commercial roundabout if she was able to do it that way.

I love Amira, and incredibly, I've recently discovered another singer of Amira's calibre, and who like Amira was discovered in the same way.
Emanne Beasha - was 10yrs old when she first went on AGT. Watch her progress thru AGT below. She is on par with Amira, if not slightly ahead in some aspects at that age.
She lives in Florida, but was born in Amman, Jordan, and is of Circassian descent. This girl is phenomenal.

Oh, you're so right! I have worried about her living in South Africa during that unrest! Almost worry about her as if she was my granddaughter! We want to protect that wonderful young lady! But I know she has fine parents who have done a great job with her and her brother.

I did understand you when you said "every one in that place must feel something inside". And to me it is this: Amira has her "one of a kind" voice and she had a very strong faith. When she sings a religious song she sings it with her voice and from her heart. She doesn't care that there are lots of people around (the concert was sold out): for Amira it is "the more the better".

I would love to hear Amita and mark Vincent sing together. Mark won Australia got talent when he was 15 he is a very good tenor.

My request for your next reaction of Amira is La Vergine degli Angeli from Verdi's opera La Forza del Destino. She uploaded it in August 2021, but the performance is from her pay-to-view Christmas concert in 2020.
I also request a reaction to a performance to which I don't think there's been any reaction at all so far. It is her and Alma Deutscher singing the Duet of the Stepsisters from Deutscher's opera Cinderella. Admittedly, there are good reasons for ignoring this performance: (1) the location is stark, a charity concert in a tiny church in the village of Brasted, Kent, England, (2) recorded on a mobile phone, (3) the piano Deutscher plays is a local upright not as well tuned as the Steinway concert grands she's usually supplied with. Conversely, there are reasons for reacting to it: (1) the first sentence of Deutscher's introduction is worth noting, given that here (September 2015) she is eleven and Amira is twelve, (2) the performance pre-dates the opera's premier in Vienna in December 2015, (3) Amira is singing without a microphone, (4) the collaboration of these two prodigies at this age might, at some time in the future, come to be regarded as one of the great musical coincidences of the age:

In case you haven't encoutered Deutscher, she is essentially a composer (hence I use her surname) plus pianist and violinist, soloist level in both instruments. If you think your audience would accept it, there is one work of hers which might, at about 15 minutes, be short enough for a reaction, a symphonic waltz called the Siren Sounds:
