Didn't mention the main reason why the Chinese loved Kobe more than any other NBA superstar... his tenacious work ethic. THAT is why Kobe jerseys outsold Lebron, Steph, etc jerseys (by far) in China. The average Chinese person could relate to, and was inspired by Kobe's strong work ethic. This was a very shallow analysis of Kobe's impact in China (the country with the biggest NBA fan base btw).
@maddox alisa That's all lies Kobe by 2008 already had a statue and it wasn't until his retirement or close to it that he started visiting China not because of your points that he was always going to China?. Chinese fans saw him as a better than Jordan figure and became bigger than the beetles. Kobe really started visiting China since 2015. Also that's a big blow for the nba China being the 2nd biggest market globally has hitten the nba pretty hard, also not that but locally seeing how they are down 17% in viewership and in televised games on tnt and ESPN is worse at 23%. Even with the face playing LeBron playing. China really never cared about LeBron so they won't watch the NBA he isn't worth watching. (No hate it's the truth just watch the numbers)
@@hectorpac1470 I don't think you watched basketball outside of the US. Can we recall during the 2008 Olympics in Beijing? When Kobe was about to get into the bus, he had to stop and acklowleged the greeting from a huge crowd. The crowd all but ignored all other NBA players. Kobe's teammates, from their facial expressions, were all stunned by the way Kobe was received. I remember some of the NBA players remarked afterward, "Kobe is more popular in China than back home." Again, that was the year 2008.
Haha rightttt the states all you guys did was bash him tell him he was a top 12 player ever and continuously kept destroying his legacy he left this world knowing that the USA media and the nba where still going to shit on him even after his death. Billions of people outside the USA knew how great and what kind of a man he truly was.
Kobe was the only NBA basketball star that not only was a Legend & the GOAT of basketball.....noone compared to his work ethics and helping people! That is why he is loved throughout the world!!!!!
There is nothing about the regular visit; it’s because he was Kobe Bryant. Even if Lebron or KD visits China every week, Chinese kids still love Kobe as their favorite. Mamba forever. ❤

English is a highly developed language but with so many redundant or closely related words. I may not be too smart but in my opinion, a language is to help us communicate, not to confuses us.

Kobe Bryant was the biggest American celebrity in China
I am not even a big NBA fan. I only hear people talking about him. Yet I was still shocked 😳. RIP
He’s one of those rare celebrities you know of even if you didn’t watch you know.
China loved him just as much as we did here in the state’s. This shows just what an affect he had in this world.

Anyone else new to the word, "Indelible"?

Why not say "Kobe's legacy was ineradicable". smh
(someone at USA Today looked at their "word of day' calendar to come up with 'indelible')
