Fun Fact: Filipinos who love Anime Songs can sing in Japanese very well even if they don't study Nihonggo.
I thought I was the only one😂
Well the accent is kinda similar in some ways to the point that we can read it in a way that is somewhat similar to how they read it🤷♀️

Hi Mana! FACT: Japanese anime has been part of every filipino's childhood. Japanese anime dominated philippine television since 1990's. I can vividly remember that I started watching since I am 6 years old. Now I'm 30 but I still watch ghost fighter, slum dunk, fushigu yuugi, flame of recca and etc. during free time. We get to memorize anime songs even we cant understand because of the fact that anime songs and stories are so good!
Correction early 80's. We had Voltes V, Daimos, Mazinger Z and more. We were also influenced by shows like Mask Rider Black and Power Rangers.
I am 63 years old now. In the early 60's we watch Gigantor.
@@19kim25 hi sorry i was born 90's I didnt know anime was released earlier. Chill
No worries, my nag comment pa nga na 60's hahaha
Batang 60's have Gigantor, now let me search that at Google.
Filipino love anime thats why others started to sing japanese song specially slamdunkkkk❤❤❤❤
Yeah the one of my favorite song is きみが好き(kimi ga suki)
Daisuki mana
Next time, we can sing it together ❣️
6:13 Ohayou - Keno [Hunter X Hunter (1999)]

8:08 You know what this is
8:26 Kiss of Death (Darling in The Franxx)
8:38 Gurenge - Lisa (Kimetsu No Yaiba)
salamat..
Voltes v no uta,(voltes v)kimiga suki datto,(slamdunk) silhouette,(naruto shippuden)
Yes japanese anime is so very popular like , one piece, naruto, attack on titan, demon slayer, ghost fighter, slamdunk etc. ❤😊

Filipinos can actually sing Japanese songs even without learning the language especially when it comes to anime songs. This is because we grew up watching animes and the anime theme songs are so catchy that we can follow it well just by hearing it.
Im not filipino then....
True
@@reyamaesalon5321 kpop song ata gusto mo eh hahaha
True I can also sing japanese anime song but not match in my voice😅
@@reyamaesalon5321 if u dont know the song u can recognize from wich anime it is cuz all this animes arw famous atleast in philippines
japanese songs have really good melody and music arrangements, thats why its really nice to listen and play guitar to it
As a Japanese, I'm so glad to hear that 💕 Arigatou!!
Yeah Japanese melody arrangements are just so different to any music style, thats why i like to listen to jpop
true, its not like your typical song that only have 4 chords lol
and also our tangue is very flexible that's we are so easy to copy other language or even learn how to speak easily
because it has so many vowel sounds like filipinos
Filipinos pronounce vowels pretty similarly to the Japanese way of pronouncing vowels. I think that's one of the reasons why a lot of Filipinos can pronounce Japanese words quite easily. (Especially in songs)
Anime is close to my heart because Japanese anime is part of my childhood.
Anime feels like home.
Mana: Some Filipino know about japanese anime
Filipinos: Come on we all know anime
Yes. Almost 95 percent know even a few ones during their childhood
Yayyyy! We love anime ☺️
Haha! Ever since I was a kid, all of attention especially during afternoon is all on Anime and in Saturday mornings. Classic animes like Voltes V, YuYu Hakusho (Ghost Fighter), Slam Dunk, Hajime No Ippo (Knockout), Pokemon, Naruto, etc. 😀👍
My childhood anime, zenkie, dragon ball z, hunter x hunter, ghost fighter. Etc. Haha
yup love it since 70's 'voltes V' esp. the theme song..
I just discovered your channel I am so excited to start learning Japanese using your channel
I can't believe Mana is already 37 years old! Mana, what's your secret in staying young? 😄 Also, please make a video telling about your life, because we want to know more about you, not just your adventures in the Philippines :D We want to hear what you think in your heart :)
Filipino’s can read/speak many languages easily by reading/memorizing /listening.
Very talented pilipinos
True and lots of animes aired in the Philippines we memorized all the main music soundtrack 😆😆😆 with the right nihonggo pronounciation too.
@@lindziep6319 guess i am one to.. but i want to learn how to talk japanese.
@@InariOkumYearsago oh its easier if you enroll in a nihonggo class i only had elementary 1&2 though i didnt take the nihonggo cert but my classmates did and one even work in a japanese embassy. Its easy if you know the basics then the rest you can self study since studying japanese is a bit pricey here in the philippines ☺☺

Right now im enjoying mona's cover of Akuma no Ko from Shingenki no Kyojin. I think from a young age were incline to enjoy and immerse ourselves in japanese culture thru anime medium. japanese culture is very influential IMO when i served in the Us Army we studied warfare, and read books like The book of five rings by miyamoto musashi. im forever grateful for japanese culture and everything they have contributed to humanity. such an asset, just stopping by to share my opinion. greetings from cali : )

It's easy to learn anime songs. It's hard to learn Japanese. 😂
Exactly
I sing anime songs that not even me can translate it.
True
I can sing sorairo days but i dont know japanese
And that's a fact
Anime was first seen on Philippine TV in the late 70's I think thru Voltes 5 (theme song @ 3:12 and anime has been a hit since then even more popular than Western Cartonns
I"ll wait to your next video. Can't wait to watch. Thanks
I really love Japanese songs through anime. Even though I don't understand every lyrics but I really love it. I really love singer like LiSA and Aimer and many moreeeeee!!! ❤️❤️
As a filipino im really thankful to japanese for creating animes. Im now 33 years old but my childhood days were so wonderful and fun because of animes. I cant imagine my life without animes up until now im still watching japanese anime. I love japan🥰🥰🥰 japanese people are so polite and nice...
8:04 Love how they said “MOMMY” at the same time😂 and then afterwards Mr.3 “Finally! Gian’s Clothes! Nobita’s Glasses”
The introduction is cute! Haha!
Well, you know if you're a filipino, you'll easily identify the animes based on their theme song (especially opening song). It's also a tradition that every morning when we opened our tvs, we waiting for the next episode of a certain anime.
It feels nostalgic those days!
I'm from India but I really like Japan I want to visit Japan༼ つ ◕‿◕ ༽つ
I like the part she sings the Gurenge song from the Demon Slayer. 💞
WHEN THE PANDEMIC IS OVER WE CAN EAT SOMETHING IN MALL
Definitely 😍
6:58 Flame of Recca
Not just kids. Even the adults love watching anime.
Yes actually most of Filipino/filipina knows how to sing Anime even Other country songs
Majority of the filipino love japanese culture, especially anime and japanese food. Aishiteru JAPAN😍❤💘
*I'm one of 90's kids and I can sing every theme song of my favorite anime from dragon ball, hunter hunter, flame of recca, btx, zenki, ghost fighter, voltes 5 and even live action shows like ultraman, shider, masked rider and kuseidon.*
@Apo ni PeeBee sori di ako interesado sa 1 piece kahit 1 page o panel ng manga diko pa nababasa kahit 1 episode ng anime diko pa napapanood. 😂
I love anime songs especially those anime in 90's and until now I still watch japanese anime. Im mid 30's now and still addicted to anime.
Japanese anime was here i think 1960. The first anime is Voltes V, Diamos, machine garcy. 1980 dragon ball Z. 1990 ghost figther, flame of recca and many more. Like doremon, naruto. There so many anime
We Filipino love anime it's part of our childhood we teared eye if we heard an anime song batang 90's here it's very big part of childhood like we escaped our school class to watch anime
when the traffic makes you sing Japanese songs, and staring at the window like titan's, ninja's, saiyans, wizards, aliens are passing by. no more traffic just fun part of life
It is fun watching your reaction. It is spontaneous and sincere. Filipino-American watching in Virginia, USA
The Bon Odori Festival is also celebrated yearly in Cebu, Central Philippines. Part of the festivities is a singing competition, where young Filipinos sing Japanese songs, mostly anime theme songs.
i know a lot of japanese songs and i learn by watching anime!
I'm Filipino and I know how to sing anime theme songs like "Samurai X", "Flame of Rica" & "Magic Knight Rayearth" in Nihongo (Japnese) version 😉.
How to sing better 😊
Flame of Rica Amp. Hahahaha wag ka Sana magalit sakin natawa Lang ako
Yep. We actually like singing anime OSTs from the era we grew up in and also the new ones. Before I started learning Nihonggo, I would search for the songs' lyrics in romanization and listen very well to the pronunciation of the original singers. I got to admit, I got pretty good at it ^^ Though, now, I stopped learning Nihonggo and started learning Hangul (Korean) for work purposes.
90s anime are really popular back in old days even there's still no internet. Most of us back in old days run after school just to watch afternoon anime on TV and talk about it in the morning in school.
Filipinos are so obsessed in anime that we can finish one or two anime in one day (12-24 or more episodes).
Every Filipino OTAKU has also an Anime OST playlist on their phone, just like me 🤣
So funny Mr.3 😆 So cute Mana❤️ long time no see Mr.3 😆

7:33 Heart doki doki 😅 Kawaii! He is so cute!
She's using their car as an Acoustic room, an alternative for studio for professional recording. Notice the difference of her voice when she's inside their car and when she's not, that's the difference of using Acoustic room. This is also true when you're singing inside the bathroom.
Very nostalgic song...unlocking my childhood memory🥹
when i was young 1980's is VOLTES 5 is one of my favorite song..
I love that they're just having fun in this video
I know some Japanese songs like "Sparkle" from the anime "Your Name"
Ah same, from animes like “Your name”, “Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood”, “Overlord”, “SAO's”, Those musical animes, the drama ones, even tokyo ghoul's, darling in the franxx', and the other famous ones..... Also from vocaloids, or from Minami, Aimer, Yoasobi and another one whom I forgot..... Also lemon, kokoronashi, sakura
me too my fav anime song also slam dunk ost
When I'm still a grade schooler, I usually watch tagalog sub anime on Television.
Now I watch anime on Pirate Sites🤫
Mona Gonzales clips takes me back on that old gold times
Filipinos learn languages first by singing. We just love anime
She looked at me, suddenly. Heart doki doki xD
We learned Japanese through Anime since childhood in the Philippines. We grew up with Voltes V to Ghost Fighter, until Manga, to Manga Adaptation Dorama. We memorized it since those songs were played prior to the Filipino dubbed Anime.
I know a couple of anime songs and I still sing them from time to time. I understand some words and sometimes I can figure out what's being said based on context clues but I'm a far cry from actually being able to form real sentences.😅😂 But I find Japanese easier to pronounce and memorize, especially if it's a catchy beat, in comparison to other languages.
Favorites: Itooshii Hito No Tame Ni (Fushigi Yuugi), Yuzurenai Negai (Magic Knight Rayearth), Danzai no Hana (Claymore), Ignite (SAO - GGO), Joint (Shakugan no Shana)... and a lot more. But these are the ones that I can still sing after not hearing them for years...
I was once a guitar player for Mona Gonzales and she has a great voice I never heard before
Your voice just like anime i love it😍😍😍
Thank you 😊😭
Truuuu
Most of the songs are part of our childhood, so we memorized it easily.

Hi Mana, i just want you to know that most of the Filipinos love watching anime and some of us really try to sing the opening and ending song of our favorite anime just because we're really obsessed with the tune and sound of it. We tried singing Lisa's songs, Radwimps, OneOkRock and many more. Thank you for admiring Filipinos!🥰
