Hi Mana! FACT: Japanese anime has been part of every filipino's childhood. Japanese anime dominated philippine television since 1990's. I can vividly remember that I started watching since I am 6 years old. Now I'm 30 but I still watch ghost fighter, slum dunk, fushigu yuugi, flame of recca and etc. during free time. We get to memorize anime songs even we cant understand because of the fact that anime songs and stories are so good!

We learned Japanese through Anime since childhood in the Philippines. We grew up with Voltes V to Ghost Fighter, until Manga, to Manga Adaptation Dorama. We memorized it since those songs were played prior to the Filipino dubbed Anime.

I know a couple of anime songs and I still sing them from time to time. I understand some words and sometimes I can figure out what's being said based on context clues but I'm a far cry from actually being able to form real sentences.😅😂 But I find Japanese easier to pronounce and memorize, especially if it's a catchy beat, in comparison to other languages.
Favorites: Itooshii Hito No Tame Ni (Fushigi Yuugi), Yuzurenai Negai (Magic Knight Rayearth), Danzai no Hana (Claymore), Ignite (SAO - GGO), Joint (Shakugan no Shana)... and a lot more. But these are the ones that I can still sing after not hearing them for years...

We tried singing Lisa's songs, Radwimps, OneOkRock and many more. Thank you for admiring Filipinos!🥰

Fun Fact: I also sing some anime songs like the Opening of Kaguya sama wa Kokurasetai and Kimi no na wa 😊😊
