The fact some animators with really expensive equipment still can't recreate this level of smoothness and fluid animation is scary, not to put them down though it definitely takes learning how to animate, draw, and then how to operate your drawing tool, artists are insanely awesome at anything creative ♥️♥️

Large scale animation is costly and needs to meet deadlines so they generally do not draw frame by frame with smearing to save time. Look at older/pre commercialized cartoons/ pilots of episodes (e.g spongebob, regular show etc)and pause when there is fast motion, often they are distorted to make a good effect but takes alot more time which isn't what the studio/marketers wants.
