I am filipino and always cheers for the the Philippines, but I have to say that Miss USA really does have an aura about her. She is the type of person that commands the room. It's like, you will know the moment she enters the room even if you didn't see her entered and she will take the oxygen in the room when she leaves. There is just something about her. Very few people have it and she has it for sure.

But whatever, we're just contributing to the pageant world here. Either way, it's a win-win for the Philippines if R'Bonney wins. @@mub1444 It is though. Considering that they are being judged on specific segments such as the swimsuit, evening gown, interview, etc. You can’t be the next Miss Universe without ticking those boxes. Imagine crowning a woman who was lackluster in those categories. I THINK THAT WILL JUST BE AN OUTRIGHT FRAUD. Also, authenticity and vulnerability? Those are already inherent to all the contestants. These women are titleholders from their own respective country. It’s quite insulting for you to assume that they don’t have those qualities just to advocate for your “favorite” candidate. Not because I am a Filipino but after seeing the two ladies during their performance at the preliminary competition, I will say the Philippines will wear the crown in the 71st Miss Universe contest. She remains mysterious all throughout - very elegant, charismatic, authentic, and beautiful - her brand. The Philippines' mystery in her is so searching that you want to see more of her on every appearance unlike that of the USA where everything that you expect next is very knowing. Please note that on the first day of the competition, Miss Aruba was my candidate to have the crown and the Philippines would be just a runner's up - I am just saying that I have no biases.

We seem to like how Catriona poured everything she had into the competition, and I believe Filipinos are wanting more, expecting every Miss Universe Philippines representative to exude and bring more than what Cat does during her time. But we must never lose sight of the fact that each candidate have an unique skill, beauty, and personality, that needs to be showcased and conveyed to the competition. I'm with Leighton and have been riding the Miss USA train since her Miss Texas coronation. She is a fighter and a hard worker! If/WHEN she's crowned, she's earned it with sweat, blood, tears, and grace. Vindication, at last! R'Bonney took some risks while Celeste might have played it safe in the prelims. If indeed the new MUO is looking for a fearless transformational leader, R'bonney is it! Her story is one who beat the odds, especially the controversies and betrayal of some of her Miss USA sisters. Not only a historic win as first Fil-Am Miss USA, but first Fil-Am Miss Universe. Her mission to use "fashion as a force for good" and message to the youth not just about being yourself or relatable, but figuring out your own "super power" to make the world a better place resonate and inspire! She has the vision, talents, and maturity to elevate the new MUO. She's been a game changer since day 1! Beautifully confident and brave with brains and brawn!

Those of us who have followed her journey know it was not an easy feat for her to get here with everything she's had to overcome following her Miss USA crowning. The fact that she did this well so far and shined so brightly at prelims (without a team behind her no less) speaks to her grit, tenacity, dedication, ambition and more importantly, her great passion for her cause - to use her talents to help inspire and transform the lives of others. I was so proud to have been in the audience at prelims to cheer for R'Bonney. And the highlight of my trip was getting to meet R'Bonney's parent. Candidate from the host-country of Ms. U, always exudes confidence. It's their home-base per se. It would depend what the judges are looking for.....if they are looking for strength and confidence = USA, but if they are looking for elegance and calmness = PHILIPPINES.

This about beauty and brains … they will judge also if you are able to communicate intelligently or speak articulately; what your sayings making sense! Is there any substance to your response to the questions your being asked? Wishing for the best Miss Philippines is well prepared❤

I really think that this is an Olivia Culpo and Janine all over again and hopefully this time it would be Philippines ending up victorious. I also agree that Miss USA is bordering cocky esp when they were interviewed and was together for the first time, USA was just smiling seemingly faking it while Celeste was both playful and reallly happy that she saw RBonney for the first time. Philippines I think will standout because she seems to have everything that the Miss Universe organization wants for their Queen. Just a thought, if Miss Universe would go to Africa or Asia for visits, I dont think they'll be wearing ludicrous gowns especially in regions where poverty is felt. Celeste I think won't mind wearing simple yet elegant clothes to represent the under privileged being helped and supported by the Miss Universe organization . There's something with Celeste a certain je ne sais quoi as they would say in the French speaking regions of the world. Thanks Siera and Lleyton....

Wowwwww @AaronNallana, your anger is screaming. I get it, you’re desperately trying to redeem Celeste, but who in hell do you think you are that you think you know R’Bonney soooo well as to claim she’d not like to dress down to represent under privileged people. You don’t know her! Ohhh, you are grasping hard! And it’s kinda funny and a little pathetic. You don’t know R’Bonney Gabriel. You don’t. You are CLUELESS as to what she will and will not, can or cannot do. Clueless. I get it, you’re upset because the truth can sometimes do that when it’s not what one wants to hear. Truth is, Miss USA has exhibited not an ounce of fakeness, and it’s great Miss Philippines is having fun. Hopefully ALL of the candidates are having fun. They are all stressed, probably sleep deprived and carrying the weight of their respective country’s expectations on their shoulders. So, you don’t like the positive comments Miss USA has received. So what! The candidates are there to perform to the best of their abilities. This is not rocket science. These candidates are being judged on their physical qualities, their walks, gowns, swimsuit, and eloquence presentations…all subjective. But whether you care to admit it or not, with respect to THOSE requirements, Miss USA excelled in her prelims presentation, as did some others. She did what was hoped for and expected of international beauty pageant delegates. Let’s just let that resonate. As far as you judging, in the future, how R’Bonney, would or wouldn’t do, unless you are Nostradamus your anger and jealousy is showing. Personally, I wish ALL the candidates the very best for the final night…to include Miss Philippines. May they ALL leave New Orleans feeling that they gave it their all.

just like past half-pinay MISS UNIVERSE winners (pia and cat), this is also r'bonney's 🇺🇸 dream so you can see the the "fight" in her no matter what.
for us, it's r'bonney 🇺🇸 who showed hard work, perseverance and dedication despite of allegations, "limited resources* & lack of powerhouse team behind her. still, she rose above the storm by being self-reliant & determined, that's truly ADMIRABLE and INSPIRING. a queen is someone who uplifts your spirit, and we saw that in r'bonney on her every interview, you feel her genuineness to truly motivate others. ♥️🤍💙

But day after day you can see all the hard work Miss USA has put in just by designing almost everything she's worn as to ordering or buying something . Miss Universe is the pageant of all pageants it's time to shine as bright as the sun and Miss USA has been doing just that ...this is no pageant to hold back . I agree! Both women are incredibly different from one another, and it showed in their performances and outfits. While the Philippines exudes an angelic aura, the USA is fierce! They are like SUGAR and SPICE. Additionally, I believe that USA had to exert a little more effort because she has a lot to prove in light of the controversies surrounding her victory. She knows that the other girls would bright it on the runway, and she didn't want to be overshadowed. Philippines, on the other hand, simply arrived and displayed her beauty and captivating charm. She is the one candidate who, in my opinion, has less makeup on than the others. She is aware that she didn't have to do anything extra to advance to the next cut; her beauty and aura are more than enough. Everyone is aware of her ability to be fierce when necessary. But for the prelims alone, I believe she did what was necessary. ;)
