Actually I can speak to the durability of the UV1k. i cut at 26” and am 444 grains. While sighting in i used the wrong pin and dropped an arrow below my target and hit the 2x4 and the width side and punched alway through the 2x4 (granted it was a little rotten but not terrible). I was able to put a screwdriver in the slot in the wood next to the arrow and spread the wood and pull out the arrow. Put in on the spinner and tested and also flexed the arrow. Perfectly fine. Still shooting it. Not sure it would survive a solid rock hit or a large stump but a 2x4 didn’t damage it.

The 1K arrows are priced to match a custom built arrow, which they are. If you have ever paid for custom built arrows you would see that they are on the high end but not that outrageous. My arrows that I build are about $25 an arrow and that’s not paying someone else to do the work. Taking my time I probably have an hour into each arrow. So $20 an hour and I have $45 arrows. Even if it takes 30 mins an arrow I’m still at $35 an arrow.
The key to save money is to just build your own. It’s not hard to build an arrow to the quality of the 1K.

That is very well put. We saw that too but at the end of the day you could spec and build your own arrows for way less than $400+ for a dozen depending on components and arrows you decide to go with. It’s just a personal opinion on the 1k arrows. They’re nice arrows but wouldn’t pay the price for it since we like ours a certain way when building them.

Nice video guys. The UV 1K arrows are 100% overpriced. They're for the guys willing to pay a premium to not have to learn how to build arrows... Hell, even ordering custom arrows from a pro shop is cheaper.
It's clear UV's taking a page out of Apple's business playbook. All about marketing and trying to create proprietary products to trap consumers into using their brand/products. Their releases are an example of that. Neck lengths that are just a bit longer than other releases so you can't easily switch between other releases...

@truoutdoors no doubt UV makes great products, and they do strive to make the best. But with the release thing, you're exactly right. Having a whole community change their setups to proprietary releases like the button and hinge 2.0

I’m going to be honest…a person is not smart if they buy those arrows.
