Oedipus Coloneus, 2023
Ahh, that period between Schutz and J.S. Bach had some amazing music. I love the vocal works of Johann Christoph Bach, Pachelbel, and Buxtehude. The harmonic richness certainly gave J.S. Bach a wonderful foundation to build upon.
An epitome example of human invention, creation, performance and musical comprehension. A gift.
Quite simply one of the most beautiful performances I have streamed in all of 2023. To hear the journey between Johann Christoph's "Es erhub sich ein Streit" to Joshann Sebastian's "Christ lag in Todesbanden" is a miracle of sounds and style. Bravo and all of my thanks to everyone involved in this important and glorious project.
Como isso é lindo 😮, definitivamente minha alma se regozija 👏
God, this is good! Clever programming, ultra-good performers, great conducting, excellent photography. Oh, and a gorgeous venue.
Spellbindingly beautiful. A big Thank You from New Zealand!
Bellissimi sentieri conducono a Lubecca! È una preziosa proposta, particolarmente coinvolgente… Grazie😊
Vielen ❤️ dank!!!!
Le voyage avec Pygmalion à Lübeck est un vrai plaisir. D. Buxtehude exceptionnel. Un grand merci
Divin toute cette musique..... dans ce monde diabolique comment vous remerciez?
Sublime!!! Thank you very much for share.
Vielen Dank!

Thanks a lot!

Tout à fait sublime. L'interprétation, la performance, inimaginable 👏👏👏👏 ❤️
Fantastic program! Pygmalion is probably the best ensemble today.
Merci pour ce magnifique concert!!
It makes me emotional, wonderful performance.
Wonderful interpretation. But one thing amuses me. These people have without doubt a high sense of tact and harmonic. But they have quite the problem to bow in a synchronized way at the end. I find that charming.
Wunderbare Stimmen, wunderbarer Chor!
At the time, none of the composers could have imagined that their music would one day be performed in Versailles.
Any possible way you can do Johann Krieger's "Halleluja! Lobet dem Herrn im Seinen Heligthum" (score found in the Christian Weise Bibliothek in Zittau)? I've been wanting to hear that all my life.
Sublime!!!!
1:19:17 Tres belle interpretation. Merci.
👏
❤❤❤
The spirit of Italy animating a German sensibility.
Just awsm 🤍💯👑
11:03 De profundis.. wow!
Why no timpani in Herzlich lieb hab ich dich, o Herr ? Still wonderful perfomance though.
because Buxtehude didn't mention them in his tabulatura
